Transfer News...

In the first of what I expect to be a couple, Aaron Jones has decided to transfer to Division 1-AA Eastern Kentucky University. Jones, a highly touted prospect from Orlando, has been in Mickey Andrews' and Odell Haggins doghouse from Day 1 and never escaped.

Meanwhile this probably means the end of Kenny Ingram at FSU as well. Ingram was at TCC trying to get his grades in order to rejoin the team in the summer of 2007, but with his former teammate and best friend leaving the program, I suspect he will try to join him or look elsewhere.

He Spent Most of His Time...
...with nagging injuries and eventually he was in the infirmary so much that Odell and Mickey stopped bothering him. At some point the player has to want to play.

Ohh
Cause I knew he had great talent and it sucks to be wasted.... was Jones, Ingrams best friend?

They were teammates...
..at Orlando Edgewater high school and committed to FSU together. They were definitely friends and I believe they were roommates for a while if not still.

Gotcha
Have you seen the recruiting lately? It makes me sick to see sooooo many 5 star recruits hesitant and not looking at FSU bc of OC position. AKA Noel Devine Ahmad Paige. At least it is not a very important yr for recruiting. I like Kendall Smith and Dionte Allen. Both D though. WE NEED AHMAD PAIGE

Oh yeah...I've seen recruiting
Defense is coming along ok. Nothing on offense outside of Paige and the possibility of Alphonso Bryant excites me. Cameron Wade? That kid has caught like 8 passes in his career.

Haha
Like I said this really isn't a huge building year but what I tell everyone is we need a heisman canidate. Last true canidate was Weinke and I want to see one again. We need a true game changer. A guy that every time he touches it you think hes gone. (see R Bush, D Fadden) I think D  recruitng is fine but O just sucks..... Ahmad Paige is rel good but he is prolly gonna leave... big suprise. Have you seen Joe McKnight??? he is a player and big (there is a change for us at RB)And out O Line got 2 middle classers ... what do you think abou them?

Recruiting is not the big problem...
It is the coaching. We have the athletes but the coaching is horrible. WR we have some of the best along with the RB's.  Anyone can recruit players-its what you do with them when they get there is another story. The defense has not problems coaching the athletes they get, its the offense- every position is poorly coached...You can turn a two star player into a heisman canidate with the right player with good coaching...there are just so many problems with the offense I can understand why recruits are hesitant with commiting with us, but don't get your hopes down we always have a decent year recruiting no matter what the situation. Having Paige or any other play maker would be awesome, but Noel Devine is kind of iffy he has some academic problems. The truth of the matter is we have 5 star recruits and we have yet to see their true potential because our offensive coaching staff is way below par....
