Post Your Questions for the NC State Expert

Any help here would be appreciated.

I know NC State runs a base 4-3 defense. Are you primarily Cover 3, Cover-2 Man (Miami), Cover-2 Zone, or Cover 1?

Do you typically go Nickel v. 3-WR sets, or do you defense them with base personnel.

What are you running on offense nowadays? I-Form, 3-wr, etc?

Please give your thoughts on these injured starters:

LT Julian Williams
LB Nate Irving
OL Curtis Crouch
TE Anthony Hill
DT Alan-Michael Cash
S Javon Walker
RB Toney Baker
WR Donald Bowens

Which guys are still out? Which positions have been adequately filled? Which are still lacking?

I havent gotten to see much of NC State this year so heres my question.

NC State has a losing record right now. Obviously there are some things NC State isnt doing right because they havent been able to get the W’s. My question is What are the obvious weak points of the NC State team that FSU is going to try to expose?

Name the weakest spot of the defense. i.e. D line is terrible against the run or secondary is week and will leave passing lanes wide open.

Can NC state keep up with the speed of the FSU recievers.

Oh and I just wanted to let you know Im an active member of the cbssportsline fsu community posted a thread on the FSU board advertising tomahawknation and encouraging people to come and join our community!

NC State hired Tom O’Brien, formely of BC, last year. How different is his approach/systyem different than Chuck Amato’s? Please flesh this out, it’s all I could come up with…

Concerning the NCST offensive line, FSU has several dynamic defensive ends and active blitzing quick LBs, all with excellent speed and pass rushing abilities, especially Brown and Moffet, possibly White.

Do your tackles have the speed to be able to keep their blocks and be effective? Or do you think the NCST offense will attempt to take them out of the game with quick passes, and runs between the tackles, or other means?

How creative is the NCST offense? Any trick plays to look for?

How is your kick return game? We just got murdered by Miamis returns.

Finally signed up so that I could comment. I appreciate your dedication to breaking the team down. You do a great job of the analysis, even when I do disagree.

I think our passing game deserves c- to a d+. One of those interceptions was as good as a punt. I thought it was worth taking that shot. I thought he completed alot of passes that were crucial and wasn’t missing receivers by too much (in the Miami game alone). Anyway, with that being said, TONS of room for improvement.

Also, our LB’s are playing excellent. Watson is really playing with a fire and a violence that makes him stand out. Sure it is a “violent” sport, however his tenacity is a blast to watch.
