Idea

Has Givens been given his scholarship yet?

If not, I can’t think of a better way to pump up the team before the game (esp. given the circumstances) then by announcing he’s on scholly.

by Fsued on Nov 15, 2008 12:57 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Oh wow. That would be awesome.

Jimbo said there are some rules regarding when you can give the scholarship, as the NCAA backdates it to the year the player joined (with respect to the max incoming class limit of 25). If we’re within that limit, that would be incredible.

I've been impressed

with how hard Navy is hitting. They are blue-collar.

by UNFNOLE on Nov 15, 2008 2:32 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Inspired defense.

Navy is just way outclassed here from a talent standpoint.

I will say that our offense is much more up-tempo and executes much quicker than ND. ND is VERY pro-style

How can you not be

How do you always figure out which crew is doing our games?

FSU Sports Information Department puts out notes

I wonder if she's interested in younger guys after her divorce...

I wouldn’t make her hyphenate her name either. Well, maybe I would recommend she go by Stacey Dales-Hotness.

by Weasie on Nov 15, 2008 3:13 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

she's got a pretty face

but I’m not a fan of the basketball playing chicks. She’s too tall and too heavy for my liking.

If we're going to get into this...

I don’t know what you’re talking about with the heavy thing, but as for the height…I’m find with where my head would be if you know what I mean.

I like NC State to win.

From Jim Young:

I knew Russell Wilson has been playing very well for N.C. State of late, but I went to the stats to make sure I wasn’t exaggerating the redshirt freshman’s prowess. Trust me. I’m not. His first college game was cut short by an injury. He then naturally struggled in his first game upon returning from a concussion, against Clemson. Since then? Here’s the stat line over his next six games- 84 of 142 (59 percent) for 1004 yards, 10 TDS and ZERO interceptions. Yeah, I’d say he’s been a bright spot for the struggling Wolfpack.

by Bud Elliott on Nov 15, 2008 3:03 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I don't mean to take a shot at her...

I’d say the same thing about most of the ESPN crew. If I’m running ESPN, I have no clue why they haven’t started team blogs. I wouldn’t be surprised if you found a job offer coming in the mail some day soon.

Dog in a Bathtub

i think guys are probably resorting to this technique at this point…

for those who know what that is…

by Renegade11 on Nov 15, 2008 4:27 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I guess I am saying that they are scarily dominant, but they’ve done it primarily via special teams scores and defensive scores. SC is doing a decent job on their OFFENSE. The gates hit a bomb td pass with obvious offensive pass interference.

by Bud Elliott on Nov 15, 2008 4:54 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I agree

Everyone is giving Tebow too much credit this year. It seems he has a short field to work with almost every time. Where did that defense come from? Remember, we were able to march it down the field on them in the first half last year, we just couldn’t convert on TD’s.

What about Miss?

Did they just get lucky? I was down in oxford this week for work and was asking them what they thought of that game. Every person there seems to think they should be undefeated this year.

by Weasie on Nov 15, 2008 4:56 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I agree they are by far the best team.

They scare the piss out of me. We need a lot of things to go right in 2 weeks

by Weasie on Nov 15, 2008 4:59 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I want us to play UGLY ball.

Running, running, running, going for 4th downs, not punting, holding the ball for long periods, maybe a long FG from gano

by Bud Elliott on Nov 15, 2008 5:00 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

we gotta get to tebow and make his life miserable

you think our corners will be left 1 on 1 alot? trying to load the box to try and slow harvin?

by Renegade11 on Nov 15, 2008 5:03 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I did not see this game being a blowout in the first half. I figured SC would play it tough for the first half, but would eventually get worn down. Gotta give UF credit for converting on the turnovers. This will definitely give them some “style points”

by basbalstr101 on Nov 15, 2008 5:07 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

What are the BCS rules?

With all of the Non-BCS conference teams this year, the BCS will take at least 1 of them as long as they finish in the top 12 or higher than a BCS conference Champ. Hypothetically, should the ACC champ finish outside of the BCS top 16, do they still get the automatic Orange Bowl bid should two Mid majors finish in the top 16?

Yeah

I would love to see the Sox go after one of them, but if they can’t get either, hopefully they make a nice offer to Teixera. Can you imagine Becket, CC, Lester, and Dice K??

23 here, haha

I was more talking about him as a young kid at Notre Dame.

Both were looked at as a wideout ad running back, both run upright.

I have to write up the revised rules post.

No porn
No gratuitous cursing
No racial slurs
No homosexual slurs

everything else… pretty much okay. Try to keep the religion and politics stuff out too

Side Note: After the sack Curry ran to the sidelines and took his helmet off immediately. It looks like one of those things you can stick your head in as a kid where you have a childs head and a different body.

are you guys rooting for UNC as well?

Assuming FSU makes it to the ACCCG, it would be nice to beat Miami again, but I’d rather they not get there at all. I’m hoping for a Heels-Noles CCG.

by andy_wooster on Nov 15, 2008 6:29 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Andy, YES.

UNC is badly hurt from injury, a shell of their early season selves.
