The top draft eligible prospect from FSU is strong safety Myron Rolle. Rolle has good size at 6’2", 218 lbs., and there are few football players in the country that are smarter, as Rolle is an academic All-American. Rolle is second on the team in tackles with 43, and has five pass breakups. Rolle’s 40-time is a respectable 4.46, and if the junior decides to enter the NFL draft he will likely be a first-round pick. A safety tandem of Reggie Nelson and Myron Rolle would allow the Jaguars great versatility.
Another player who caught the Jaguars scouts eyes is Seminoles redshirt junior defensive end Everett Brown. Brown is a bit undersized at 6’4", 252 lbs., but has the frame to add muscle. Brown led the team in sacks a year ago and has six sacks thus far this season, to go along with 18 tackles, 13 TFL, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. Brown is currently rated as a first-round pick.

After not having a 1st round pick last year,
things look good for these two who have represented FSU in every way possible.
Really?
By all accounts, Myron Rolle is a great kid. We all know he’s a genious, a heck of an athlete, and he’s never been in trouble like so many other players on this team.
However, I feel like he is the weak link in the Seminole defense each week. I feel like he may be the most overrated player that we have playing right now. I consider him a liability in the secondary, especially in pass coverage. Maybe it’s just me though.
Everett Brown will be a 1st rounder when he comes out, I think that’s a lock.
I'd have to disagree...
with your comments on Myron Rolle. Yeah he hasn’t made the highlight reel type plays but i feel like he is one of the most consistent players on the defense week in and week out. It’s more the way he is used in our defensive scheme and how he lines up. One of the best tackling safeties that we have had at FSU in a long time.
Correct me if i’m wrong but i think nolesblogger did a great post on this exact issue…..
Agree and Disagree
His tackling is excellent, there’s no arguing with that.
I won’t back down from the comment that his pass coverage is a huge liability each week though. I’ve never watched a game and thought to myself, “Wow, thank God we had Myron back there tonight or we would have been getting beat deep all night.”
Again, great kid though, and when and if I have a son, I hope he’s half the man Myron Rolle is.
