CU 17- FSU 20 2H Thread

Halftime and 2H thread.

Clemson came out on fire for 2 drives to lead 10-0.

FSU whoops them from that point on... except... fumbling Punt at own 10... (17-13)

FSU drives for TD and runs reverse to walk on: n20-17 @ half.

DLine is owning Clemson: 3 sacks, and a pressure leading to  dlineman pick6.

Keep hitting harper, go more max protect, and we'll be fine.

I'm not super impressed or unimpressed with Ponder's throwing at this point.  I am impressed with his ability to evade the rush.

Zebrie was getting absolutely killed on the rush, so Trickett subbed in Greenlee.

We're really taking advantage of their overaggressive tendencies, with cutback running and reverses.

Great stuff

Over at my shack we’ve got two TV’s going, a fire on our porch that we built on a beautiful desert night. Grabbed some coffee and smoking cigars. Thanks for the playcalling, I went through everything and from reading it looks like we’ve been consistently outplaying them, but TC’s miscue on the punt gave them 7 more than they should have. How are we looking?

good

25 yards worth of penalties, especially the roughing the kicker, which is as bad in my opinion as an interception or fumble and we are only penalized with 3 points.

Argh!

We gave them those points.

by hopnole23 on Nov 8, 2008 6:06 PM EST reply actions

yeah

with their runningbacks you have to love their chances too. I’m not really understanding why they went for 3. Not like the HC is going to get fired.

and they're not

guaranteed to get 25 free yards and two free 1st downs

The one on third downs? I read that.

I think with their defense they are going to have to go TD for TD with us. 3 points to our 7 gives them a -4 deficit, especially on free chicken that we gave them.

come on D

we need a big stand here

Penalty again

Damn, we need points; this game can end here

Hi everyone

Sorry about not getting a WWE clip in, I was in state-mandated testing all day…I see the score, looks good, but can someone give me a brief snapshot of how the game has gone? Thanks

CJ...

CU came out with great play calling for the first 2 drives for 10 points.

FSU had 3 QB pressures on CP7 in the first series.

We then rip off 13 points running our offense 13-10 FSU

We stop them, and Tony Carter fumbles a punt at the 10. TD Clemson on an amazing throw by Harper for 17-13

Then we went back to rolling.

We roughed the punter when leading 27-17. Clemson gets a fg after penalty.

Then we punched in another.

Sounds good

Thanks. One more question: The box score says Carr doesn’t have a catch. Did he get hurt or has he just been taken out of the game? Thanks.

Surrency's stepped up on a couple

Jermaine Thomas continuing to do well. All in all owning them on Offense. We’ve literally given them 10 points, 7 on a muffed punt, 3 on roughing the kicker on 4th and a mile.

We had an intercepted pass in the

but we really shoud have beaten the SHIT out of them.

"the Rix horrible game"

You’ll need to be WAY more detailed than that…

I know...

I was just being sarcastic. My two least favorite Rix games where that one against Clemson and the Miami one we lost in OT…just bad.

yah but everyone wont see that

we could have been close to putting up 60 points on them…and shouldn’t have let up as many as we did

Umm

Can Antone stop scoring touchdowns this year?

I mean good grief, what does he have like 30 or something?

Happy Birthday Bobby

Just got home to see the last couple minutes of the game…holy smokes. From the comments it looks like it has been a weird game. I’ll take a win anyway we can get it right now.

You know what?

This is 40 points on a BCS team.

You have no idea how badly I dislike everything that Jeff Bowden’s offense represented. This is totally different.

Big plays, 260 rushing yards, and we’re bailing out our defense.

Good grief.

Louis Givens needs a scholarship

God blessed that kid with pure speed.

Jimbo is a very good coordinator.

If we played wake at the conclusion of this game no doubt we crush them.
