what happened to Lakeland, St Tommas Aquates, Marit Island and Lake City. I played at Ratherford back in the late 90s and Those teams had all the speed. Are they not the top places anymore. I undersand that Dade Co and the miama area is prime because of the airport But Fl. But is Miama and Mad Co the only places people are looking anymore in Fl. I know FSU has lincon Co on lock but Im know there is no better football in the world than Fl.

What do you mean what happened to them? Aquinas is on ESPN Right NOW! and Lakeland has won three state titles this decade. Merritt Island is down but Lake City is a title contender this season.

Madison County has a ton of Division 1-A prospects. And between Dade, Broward and West Palm Beach counties there are around 200 Division 1-A prospects. The teams are still the good teams but the top prospects are scattered.

THe 2009 Class...

…is pretty scattered. You’ve got a lot of kids from the Big Bend/Tallahassee area and they’ve done a good job in South Florida too. But Willie Haulstead is from Titusville, where they NEVER get players. So they are spreading around the state nicely.
