Top 25: Week 2
As an official member of the JCS (Jeff Cameron Show) top 25 Poll, we make a top 25 every week. I post it here, along with one 7or two sentences per team. Leave your thoughts.
| Rank | Team | Last Week | Comment |
| 1 | USC | 1 | The team appears to be hitting on all cylinders. Will they come out on top in the epic orange county showdown? |
| 2 | Oklahoma | 2 | Consistent dominance. |
| 3 | Georgia | 5 | Despite the major injury trouble (Starting LT Sturdivant and Starting NG Owens), they throttled a respectable Central Michigan team. I'm moving them up, but be prepared for an ugly SEC battle in Columbia. |
| 4 | Florida | 3 | Percy Harvin doesn't look completely healthy. Teams are developing a gameplan for Tebow as they now have roughly 36 games of film on the Gator Spread Option. |
| 5 | Missouri | 6 | This offense is ridiculous, but the pass defense is a cause for concern. |
| 6 | Ohio State | 4 | They came out flat against an inspired Ohio Squad. The status of Beanie Wells is still up in the air. Their season boils down to the game in LA. Vegas pegs them as 10 points dogs. |
| 7 | LSU | 7 | Our prayers are with those in Baton Rouge |
| 8 | Texas | 9 | They played very average against Mike Price's UTEP Miners. |
| 9 | California | 17 | The second best team in the Pac 10. Familiarize yourself with Jahvid Best. |
| 10 | Texas Tech | 12 | They survived the desert and consistently put the ball in the end zone. |
| 11 | East Carolina | NR | Familiarize yourself with QB Pinkney. This is a good offense and a disciplined defense. |
| 12 | Wisconsin | 16 | Came out flat v. Marshall, then turned it on. Very tough test at Fresno this week. |
| 13 | Alabama | 11 | Terrance Cody is an NFL player wearing a college uniform. 11 is probably too high, but they were very impressive and don't face a real test for a while. |
| 14 | BYU | 14 | BYU played better in Seattle than the score indicated. |
| 15 | Oregon | 18 | The best secondary in America and a relentless rushing attack makes this a formidable Quack Attack. |
| 16 | Oklahoma State | 25 | This team has an offense and probably could score 28 on the country's best defense. |
| 17 | Wake Forest | NR | Skinner is a very good QB and this is a veteran defense. I still don't love these guys, but it's tough to find 25 good teams this year. The ACC's lone representative could have company as FSU looks to join the top 25 next week. |
| 18 | Arizona State | 22 | They took care of business at home v. Stanford, the real test is in two weeks hosting UGA. |
| 19 | Auburn | 19 | They may have found a QB in Chris Todd. Could Drill a hapless Miss State team this weekend. |
| 20 | Penn State | 20 | OSU is horrible and Penn State took care of them. They just lost starting DE Haynes for the year, and the suspensions loom for the weed guys. |
| 21 | Utah | 21 | Possible BCS buster took care of UNLV. |
| 22 | Fresno State | 23 | Didn't play this week. If they beat Wisconsin this week, they move up. |
| 23 | South Florida | 10 | Survived the scare at UCF. One of the sloppiest domination efforts I've ever seen (USF outgained UCF by almost 300 yards). Vegas took notice as they are favored over Kansas. |
| 24 | West Virginia | 8 | Poor effort against a good ECU team. |
| 25 | Tennessee | 24 | Cross country loss @ UCLA looks a little better now. The real test is in two weeks hosting UF. |
| Dropped Out | |||
| 13 | South Carolina | 13 | This is a good defense and a pathetic offense. They might take UGA, but this isn't a top 15 team. |
| 15 | Notre Dame | 15 | I promised to drop them if they didn't dominate SDSU. They need to beat a laughibly bad Michigan team this Saturday in South Bend. |

Where's Florida State
Just kidding. I really do hope we are unranked and hungry going into our showdown with Wake (I never thought I would be saying that)
It's tough to rank them yet
I do think we will be ranked next week.
