From what my grandmother taught me it is when a fan of another team comes on a board

he has no interest in, to post nonsense, antogonize said board readers with idiotic comments, and try to disrupt the flow. I just got here, but so far you seem to meet the criteria.

Untrue.

But unsurprising you’d twist what I asked. I’ve displayed no real aggression whatsoever in my time here. The question was who are FSU fans rooting for in the Miami game and I received plenty of constructive responses.

It doesn't matter who we are rooting for.

Really,

I’m thisclose to being of the “Fire Everybody” opinion.

The defense is getting worse. No pass rush. No coverage. Nothing.

The unreliable offense is getting worse. The o-line is completely undisciplined. The only guys I’ve seen do any work all game are Ponder and Reed.

Just pitiful.

by Drew J Jones on Oct 3, 2009 5:07 PM EDT reply actions

I wouldnt blame the o-line but the play calling

Why is the sky blue? Because, God Loves the Infantry

by Desman on Oct 3, 2009 5:09 PM EDT up reply actions

They have?

They’ve driven down the field twice. They gave the ball away on 4th Down and grabbed a field goal. They got close enough to get another field goal before the half. All of this on nothing but passing with Ponder under pressure for most of the game. The o-line is undisciplined and lazy. The receivers are too busy dancing to get forward and get the first down.

by Drew J Jones on Oct 3, 2009 5:11 PM EDT up reply actions

Something to remember

We will have several new offensive staff members, though the offense is not as bad as people think right now. Jimbo will be a head coach that cares and will actually work his tail off, and we will have a new staff. Once Bowden and Co. are gone, we can start to re-build.

I'm finding it very hard ...

… to not root for us to get blown out in this game. I am SURE that if we’re going to lose, I want it to be as humliating as possible so I don’t have to hear about the “two plays away” crap.

We are so bad in so many ways.

The most glaring thing to me is how weak we are at WR. Easterling is a shell of his former self, Owens is worthless and Goodman is way overrated.

I thought easterling was so great last year but he hasnt been the same sence this then.

Will Fisher keep Trickett, Dawsey, etc?

So does Fisher also get rid of some offensive assistants? I know we do not have big time Oline recruits, but I thought Trickett preferred this.

by Desman on Oct 3, 2009 5:12 PM EDT up reply actions

True, but I don’t see much reason for optimism based on our halftime adjustments so far this season.

by kjharris82 on Oct 3, 2009 5:13 PM EDT up reply actions

forget recruiting...

this isnt even the end of it. We are going to continue to lose. Ask about recruiting when the season is over and we won maybe 4 games.

by Miaminole on Oct 3, 2009 5:14 PM EDT up reply actions

Fisher better be careful Boosters do not want him out

I do not even think Fisher would purposely try to have this bad a showing. He knows his job is somewhat on the line, even with his contract. Thus he is working with pressure just like the players.

by nolestuff on Oct 3, 2009 5:14 PM EDT up reply actions

I think people need to really prepare themselves ...

for a win total that is lower than anything any of us could have imagined. I don’t say this as a joke — it’s possible we could lose 7, 8 or even 9 games this season. I used to think Maryland was a lock, but not anymore. While some of our hard games aren’t looking as hard, I will not be picking us to win another game until I see us win another game. Certainly don’t see us beating GT. Nor UNC on the road. NCSU is looking like a good team. Clemson? UF? Where are the wins?

by Desman on Oct 3, 2009 5:15 PM EDT reply actions

Hate to break it to you, but this season is shot

Bowden could keel over this moment and we many moons away from fixing things. My fear is that it’s the SECOND year of a new regime when, most often, success is found. When does 2011 fall practice start again?

by Fsued on Oct 3, 2009 5:16 PM EDT reply actions

I know the problem

Last year the team ran well but passed less, and defended the pass somewhat better than the run. I think the coaches spent so much time trying to improve the passing game and rush defense, that the other areas suffered.

GD, I still hadnt got the bad taste out my mouth from last week...

this program needs LIFE! Excitement, energy, youth, passion, want-to… we have NONE of that and we are at the point in recruiting where we arent even getting talent anymore. We won 6+ games the last 5 years on strictly talent with no coaching and leadership. Now we’ve been this bad long enough that the kids we’re after didnt grow up watching dominant FSU football, and theres not much other motivation to come here. Tallahassee = where primadonna talent has come to die this decade, and were about done lucking up into top 10 classes on past reputation alone.
