Back from the booster luncheon: Bobby Bowden won’t comment on Jim Smith’s comments

Just back from the Florida State booster luncheon. Bobby Bowden declined to comment on Jim Smith’s comments that this should be his final season. Smith, of course, is the FSU Board of Trustees Chairman.

Athletic director Randy Spetman said no immediate change is imminent, but that he is aware of the discontent surrounding Bowden and the football program amid the Seminoles’ 2-3 start.
