One of their players got me in the eye -- stuck his finger in my eye. And they did it to numerous of my teammates...

So is there anything going to come out of this.

I havent seen anything on ESPN but yet so the only known stuff is from here. I hope something comes out of this. I know Football can be a violent sport but to me this is going over the line. I cant say it doesnt happen and Im sure there are players at FSU that have done this. I dont approve but when you are cough on camra then something should be done. Im not saying do this when no one is looking but when you are cough the you are cough.

Dabo's Response

From TigerIllustrated.com

“Swinney also addressed another matter Wednesday evening, though he was reluctant to discuss the issue when asked about video circulating on the Internet of sophomore defensive end Andre Branch with his fingers in the facemask of an FSU offensive lineman. Branch was not flagged for the contact, which went unnoticed by the officiating crew working the game.

“It’s not worth the time (to talk about it). Did you watch it? I’ve seen worse in my 10 and 11-year olds’ games,” said Swinney. "It’s football. It was a fumble. There’s no ill will towards anybody. It was a guy trying to dive and get the ball. He didn’t know where the ball was. There wasn’t an issue there at all.

“We do things with class here. If I thought it was anything of malice, certainly we would deal with it. There’s a lot of worse things that can happen in football games. There’s chop blocks, there’s violent facemasks and 15-yard penalties and guys don’t get ejected. Again, not worth more discussion.”

Asked about the ACC reviewing the video, Swinney confirmed that the conference had seen the footage.

“I talked to a pretty prominent official and he wouldn’t have even flagged it. He would have said, ‘Hey, keep your hands off the helmet,’ but it wouldn’t have been a flag.

“I think we’re a hypersensitive country. One little thing happens somewhere that was really not right and now all of a sudden? you start dissecting a football game, next thing you know you’re going to see a lot worse than that.”

"Reporter: What will you tell the team at halftime Bobby?
Bobby: I'll tell 'em what I always tell 'em when were winning. Boys if they don't score we'll win this game"

Wow

While I believe its not as bad as Spikes, I’m surprised Dabo just dismisses it like this.

Seriously???

“It was a guy trying to dive and get the ball. He didn’t know where the ball was.”

Sorry Dabo, trying to recover the ball wasn’t on his agenda.

Haha, didn't know where the ball was

He thought that shiny gold thing with spears on it attatched to someone’s body must’ve surely been the ball, so he tried to pick it up. Upon realizing his mistake, he quickly apologized to Spurlock, which is clearly seen in the video. It just looks like they’re yelling at each other, but really he’s extending his deepest regrets.
The Chiefs were sitting just outside the endzone, and as usual we played some stuff before kick off. While we were playing War Chant a Clemson player started walking over toward the band nodding his head and beckoning us to come onto the field. Seriously man? Yeah, you show that 115 pound flute player how tough you are! Knock her down a few pegs.

Dabo's a clown.

Walking around the Clemson campus before the game I was really shocked at the amount of people that thought he’s a good head coach.

Let me offer everyone a short explanation. There was a demand that we pull the photo because a claim of ownership was made by one of the pay sites who hates TN, because we are costing them many paying members ($$) every month when they defect to us.

I was made aware of the photo by one of our members, which was posted by a reader on another site in the comments section. Since this is not considered premium content, I made the decision to go with the story. Bud is presently seeking legal advice as to whether their claim is valid and hopefully we will be given the OK to repost the story.

We will keep everyone here posted.

Thank you Frank

My cousins in Tallahassee told me (when i went down for the NCSU game) just how much I would enjoy this site. They were spot on in their assessment!
