Florida State vs Florida: Delusional Ramblings of a Long Time Nole

Yesterday's Thanksgiving was at times uncomfortable, not so much for me because I can give and take as good as anyone, but for my probable next (very distant) wife, because we spent it at my sister’s house with our families. You see my brother-in-law is a Gaturd, and one of his daughter’s is also a recent Gaturd grad, and this makes their whole family closet gaturds. Every time one of them brought up the subject of how great the Turds and Tebow are, and how they are going to whip FSU, here is the reply which I had thoughtfully prepared in advance knowing the onslaught that was forthcoming.

Realistically, we know the chances of the NOLES’ pulling off the upset win is very slim.

So the way I see it, all of the pressure is on the Turds.

If FSU somehow manages to win, the Gaturd’s will become the laughingstock of the NCAA.

However, IMAO, we are in the best possible position we could possibly be in, considering the tremendous gap between our two programs.

No odds-maker, MSM, nor FSUn, think the NOLES' have a even the slightest chance, so a loss to the gaturd’s will not come as a surprise to anyone.

We have absolutely nothing to lose. Also, the battle for recruits against UF is pretty much a done deal, as they have probably once again gotten all the player they were chasing, which are probably the creme of the crop.

So all we can hope for is to maybe get lucky with turnovers. Maybe, just maybe, the Turds will be looking past us and be thinking about 'Bama. And finally, if our players let it all hang out and have fun, we might be able to pull off one of the greatest upsets in college football history.

All of the pressure is absolutely on the gaturds and none of the pressure is on us. If they win, oh well, it was expected. On the other hand, if FSU somehow wins, this will be an upset of epic proportions, and once again, make the Turds a national laughingstock, right up there with the likes of:

Michigan (vs Appalachian State),

USC (vs Stanford),

Virginia Tech (vs Temple),

Oklahoma (vs Kansas),

and of course our very own,  FSU (vs NCST).

SO,

A)  As unlikely as it may be, a FSU win would totally humiliate the Gaturds.

2)  As unlikely as it may be, a FSU win would ruin their perfect season.

D)  As unlikely as it may be, a FSU win would totally humilate all of the Gaturd Seniors on senior day.

VII)  As unlikely as it may be, a FSU win would totally humiliate "The Chosen One and the Other Son of God," Tim Tebow, in his last game in the putrid, foul, stank, stagnant, swamp.

Green)  As unlikely as it may be, a FSU win would especially humiliate Herban "Liar" Meyer for losing to that girls school out west.

And finally, as unlikely as it may be, a FSU win could very well knock them out of NC contention.

Even though the chances of this next scenario ever playing out are about as slim as a FSU victory tomorrow, during our back and forth yesterday and using all my powers of persuasion, I had managed to convince my bro-in-law and niece, that this will be Hervie "Crier" Meyer's last home game also, since he will be leaving for his "dream job" at Notre Dame when they fire Weis at the end of this season. Needless to say, after a few rounds of trash talking, I had depressed them enough that they did not bring up the subject again for the remainder of the day.  Life is good.  What is the point of a family get-together if someone does not upset or depress another family member?

A victory tomorrow over the turds would be a great win for the Seminole Nation. Stranger things have happened and we can dream, right?

So I will be watching the game with my FSU T-shirt and hat on as usual.

I will not be in the company of my Cane and Gator friends since the game is not in prime time and mercifully no viewing party is planned like we usually have for the UM and UF showdowns.

And I'll probably blogging on the live game thread here at TN (since misery loves company, and misery loves company that is also miserable), but at the same time rooting as hard as usual for my Noles to ruin the gaturds season.

PS. My apologies for the long-winded fan post, but these comments and pictures are in lieu of a "FINAL SCORE" story this week.

PSS.  If you got some gaturd hating pic's, now is the time to use them or lose 'em, post them here to help the Nole's get psyched and do the unthinkable.

Very misleading article title, Frank.

I clicked on “Florida State vs. Florida: Delusional Ramblings of a Long Time Nole” expecting to read Bobby’s pre-game press conference. But I digress…

I’d like to believe they’re looking past us to Bama, but that wasn’t the case last year. UF revels winning over us anytime. As bad as we’ve been recently, I still think a victory is sweet for them.
I’ll be in the stands receiving my Tebow stigmata wounds. The scars will turn into great conversation pieces once finally reclaim our dominance over them.

Its a cornhole board...

with Timmay painted on it. The hole in the cornhole board is Timmay’s mouth, and to put it delicately, he is performing a circumcision with his mouth. Oh, and at the same time, a dude in a Cane’s hat is giving Timmay oral pleasure.

Backstory to this one

A group of us decided to throw a “white trash bash pontoon boat party” and me and my fellow Noles thought it to be appropriate to dress in the only attire that correlated with white trash.

Enjoy (I’m on the right in case you were curious)

I really can’t believe the prices of the SECCG tickets though. they will probably hit $750 each for uppers by game day – because Bama fans will mortgage their trailer to go to this game!!!!
