Bowden says he'll make the final call on new DC
I really don't think he knows what he is talking about, but I still don't like this statement.

That might be tough to do
Since he will no longer be employed

Will FSUn
Even dignify this with a response?

More important now that he retires (or is "retired") this year
Let’s have one year of transition, not two.

This stuff would be funny if just everyone were in on the joke.
Bowden’s the only "coach" I know who chooses to do his rivals’ negative recruiting for them. (Forgive the premise: I know he cares about none of the parties involved but himself. I think even that one person (or two) with eight different TN screen names has figured that out by now.)
Coach Bowden. Please. Save the one last hair of a shred of dignity you have left, and announce that you’re bowing out gracefully the second we secure either our sixth win or our sixth loss. I wouldn’t dare ask you to be man enough to do it before then. It’s time. It’s so far past time.

Nice!
I think the only thing you are forgetting TRM is that this isn’t about dignity for Bowden.
This is about a paycheck.

He didn't even know Monday that Mickey was set to announce retirement Tuesday...
how in the loop do you think he really is.
Also, the misses the follow up question in the interview where he seemed to indicate that his “final decision” was more of a rubber stamp on Jimbo’s Choice.
Yeah, right!

I just hope...
…he’s not implying that he is staying next year and wants to elevate Amato…

Won't happen.
But if it does, I believe TRM is planning a Burn-Your-FSU-Gear-and-Ridiculous-Shoes-and-Sunglasses Bon Fire.

MattD's bringing the matches...
…and the entire line of Victoria’s Secret’s Miracle Bra® collection.

Other big decision by Bowden recently:
Fudge Royal or Neopolitan
Egg Salad Sandwich or Pimento Cheese Sandwich
Walker Texas Ranger or Judge Joe Brown

***Breaking NEWS***
Bowden has decided after his bad game last week, he will sit Weldon in favor of Ward at QB this week against Ken Hatfield’s Clemson Tigers. Said Bowden when asked about this “I’m not sure how to tell Casey’s mama I’m sitting her boy, but dagummit, that’s what head coaches do. Excuse me y’all, it’s Wed and Ann said I gotta get to church on time. Just like a woman to be all demanding, ya know it..?”

I don't believe him
in fact, the decision may have already been made.
But this is just one more piece of negative information that can be used against FSU on the recruiting trail. Bowden just doesn’t get it.

Expanded story from what HerstyNole posted
has the same quotes, with a couple of added paragraphs, not much added (just stuff like going 2-2 will make us bowl eligible etc.)

He won't make the final call...
but what did you expect him to say? Nothing has been announced as far as next year’s plans, and he’s not going to show his hand.

I expected him to say, Jimbo will have the final say in our next DC!

I'd just like him to keep his mouth shut

I'd rather this happen too....
or something along the lines of “we’ve got to worry about Clemson right now”

That's just like a Bowden, ain't it?
