Write to the Coaches

Like 1Newplayer's post for TN: It’s important to show appreciation to those who are working hard and doing a good job.  You never know what showing simple gratitude can do for a coach, if he reads it, if he simply knows there are fans that are thankful, at least he never had to wonder--if he did.

Show your appreciationFisher, Trickett, Coley, etc?  Write an email expressing your gratitude.  I will send them to the coach.  My email is adwright99@gmail.com. Why send them to me?  I will total them and report how many letters TN sent out.  I might even highlight some that capture the spirit of this attempt.

Here is an example of what I was thinking of writing:

Coach Trickett,

Thank you for the hard work you put into our football program.  The offensive line is no longer a weak point, but a strength, paving the way for the ACC's best offense in more a decade.  You have made our offensive line something I, as fan, can be proud of.  I admire the tenacity and toughness with which your boys play.  I can't wait to see what this maturing group does next season.  Thank you for of your efforts and making the future for FSU’s line look bright.

Sincerely,

Andrew Wright

(this is one I probably will be sending to Trickett)

Please Rec this post so it can stay up if it catches on! Go Noles!

Andrew ...

I just sent you my letter. Please check your spam folder as sometimes email from my domain gets flagged by gmail and yahoo. Thanks again for doing this — great idea and much appreciated. Positive reinforcement is very powerful.

Striker: "Surely you can't be serious!" Rumack: "I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
