Around SBN: SB Nation MMA Rankings for August 2010

I am rarely surprised by articles but Brian did a great job with this and really dug up some interesting stuff. Bowdenites should really give this a look.

LOL

" Fisher’s approach to building a winner is lifted from Saban’s playbook. Right down to the terminology such as becoming more "process oriented" as opposed to "results oriented."

" Nick and I are friends," he said. "That guy is one of the best football coaches I’ve ever been around. God knows he’s brilliant. … A lot of the things he believes are a lot of things I believe. We’re very similar!

With Saban

You almost have to speak in a positive light. He rebuilt LSU, had Alabama within an eyelash of playing for the NC last year and this saturday will play for the SEC championship. Whether he is a pain or not he knows football. Let/s face it our coach is a Saban clone in many ways and probably a better offensive mind than Saban.

You can be sure Herban does not like the idea of being pincered by Saban North and Saban South on the horizon. If we get Kirby Smart it will appear that way.

He's process oriented over results oriented.

Nice to know we’ll have at least one orientation now.

Cool part about Jimbo getting updated on the 87 UM game. That’s the first one I witnessed in person.

Both great and horrible game, K-Man

That failed 2-point conversion at the end had to rip your heart out more live than it did mine watching it on TV. I was 10 and cried for days.

Didn't I just say the process begins! LOL

How is this guy not the perfect fit?

Understands and appreciates FSU’s history and traditions, has connections to the school, yet learned how to be a detail-oriented and creative coach under Saban (and not at the Bowden School of Minimial Coaching). He deserves every chance.

Right

I think he could be derailed by unrealistic expectations or very injury plagued seasons.
