Awesome job Coley!
I’m almost beginging to expect a new recruit or coach a day all the way till christmas. I can’t begin to explain how exciting this is
His recruiter was Dawsey and Haggins
They were at First Coast today. Not sure how much Coley (Or Eddie Gran for that matter) had to do with it but I’m sure they didn’t hurt. Beverly is a solid pickup and should be one of the top 200 players in the nation
Who is this "Coley" you speak of?
Could this be the one we now know as “The Hammer”?
Haha, you should create a post to notify people about the change of name.
Since it is official now.
You're the only one, trick
The Hammer is not pleased with your malcontent.

Does this impact the First Coast players we are interested in for this years class?
Or are there other 2011 players from First Coast worth noting yet?
Thanks recruiting team!
Well, Barnes I guess from this year
I hope this might play a factor in his supposed possible switch to USC?
Wow a lot of RB's
this one and Brandon Gainer is going to go to FSU thats a lot of RB’s what will that be a total of 7 for next seasons roster?
Being honest
all I really want to see is Joyner, C. Green, Dorsey, Jones, and Chaz Green going to Tallahassee
I like Gainer a bunch
am probably the biggest Gainer fan out there.
Chaz Green will be at Tennessee for sure. I think the ’Noles can land the other 3
It would be nice to have him..
But i don’t think he would get a lot of playing time and we need to spend that scholarship on a defensive player..
if you are talking about demar dorsey...
…he already commited to be a gator – bummer. I’ll still gladly take jones, green and joyner though!
Demar Dorsey is extremely overrated and has character concerns, ftr
he means Wayne Dorsey

all of UFs recruits are bad characters
.. i hear you have to have at least five misdemeanors before urban even considers you…. ha
these JUCO players should fit in well – jimbo and coley are tearin it up!!
IMO, Demar Dorsey = Michael Ray Garvin with a worse attitude
Who the hell wants that

My guess is that it is between USF and FSU
Since UT was recruiting him, I’m hoping Gran made a good impression and the Gran addition can swing him our way. I believe that you take the best talent you can get when you can get it.
Beverly registered a 4.74 40
i know hes still a junior but for a running back???
Guys, 40-times are really not that important
Emmit Smith ran a 4.7ish
How does the guy run on the field, etc.
But...
…can he make up his own words like Emmit?
u sure???
He seemed faster than that. But wouldnt you say the game has changed since then? How many times do we see speed winning over power (dont use the 09 FSU defense as an example)
Would much rather have a back who runs within the scheme
And consistently gains the yards. Can someone link my zone blocking article?
A smith good RB that couldnt fit in JF offense.
Why is the sky blue? Because, God Loves the Infantry
Terrell davis from Denver wasn't fast or highly touted coming out of college.
But I would take him in a heart beat!!

TD was awsome. Loved watching that broncos team
Anyone know what Greg Jones ran coming out of high school?
power running
power running is useful just ask Oregon
He has a 31 inch verticle
There is a lot of explosion in those legs
IE, he gets to top speed pretty freakin quick
Jerry Rice
had an awful 40 time as well. It really is overrated. It does tell you something, it is fun and interesting to look at, but some of the kids are much much faster with the ball in their hands or chasing people down field. For instance, Bradham is clocked in the 4.5’s but ran down Jeff Demps who is clearly faster than a 4.5. On game day, if this kid has earned his way to the ESPN 150 watch list, I doubt he runs like a 4.7
yea because thats the conference they play in
but they arent playing florida’s and miami’s. Dont know, though from what ive seen from Fisher and co, they do evaluate talent well, and if they dont play up to expectations…see ya (ty jones maybe)?
Mike Ingram ain't fast
He is like a clydesdale
opinions...
WC just reported that 4 assistants will be out next year. They didnt list them but whos the fourth? Amato, Carter, Allen aaaand……???
I have no idea who they are referring to, because it is more than 4...
We’ve discussed this a bunch of times.
Bowden- retiring
Andrews- retiring
The Allen, Carter, Amato, and Stroud are all gone.
Please don’t fish for subscription info from other sites. Had I not already mentioned this news countless times I wouldn’t have known it to respond to you.
You named the 4
They are talking about 4 guys not being retained. You listed 6 guys, 2 of which retired.
Beverly committed to our coaches several weeks ago
glad to see it go public today! Welcome aboard!

His decommit was never confirmed...
couple of folks now say he’s denied it personally.
Regardless, he isn’t solid. Maybe Beverly will help a bit.

Ok...
We want 14 DL+LB
Deas (if he qualifies)
McCloud
Brooks
Smith
Jacobs
Lemonier
Dorsey (if we beat out ole miss)
Barnes
Cummings
Erving
Luc
Jones
Smith
Onwukaife
Akuna (if he visits)
Terrell (if he sticks)
That’s 16. Can we get 14 of 16? probably not, but there could be another guy come along as well.
I agree he's doubtful
But I don’t know that we’ve completely written him off. Maybe he follows Smart and maybe Smart comes to FSU.
I think we can pull 14 LBs + DL FSU’s defensive class this year could be the best in the country. If we wind up with Sunseri and Travis Jones, then we’ll have a TWO former NFL line coaches and maybe we can sell him on becoming a part of this very special defensive class. FSU is on his short list and for some reason he hasn’t pulled the trigger yet. I can fully understand why a kid would want to go to a school with a proven product vs. the uncertainty of a newly formed unit, as well as someone who has seen the atmosphere Tuscaloosa vs. Tallahassee this past season. It’s a long shot, but hopefully FSU won’t just give up on this one.
It's this easy with Hubbard:
If Bama opens a spot for him in the class, he’ll commit 5 minutes ago.
If they are full and turn him away, he’ll be a Seminole.

off subject
but doesn’t Smart being named Asst of the Year make it less likely he comes? One rationale was getting out of Saban’s shadow. That certainly helps.
Mike Boulware has a kid I think
Or, actually, I have no idea. But he married an All American pitcher on our softball team. Sign those kids up NOW.
Cromartie has like 8 kids, 1 of them should be coming into their prime soon
It's a beautiful day in Tallahassee
I'd still recruit them if they cover balls like Cromartie

Is he our 4th ESPNU150 recruit of 2011?
If we don’t start next season on top of the recruiting leader board, I’ll be surprised.
4 dor 4 so far
and all in-state kids too.
The talent is here. You either have to wrestle it away from Miami and Florida or get your own stronghold early. I’m glad we’re going the latter route. It’s a hell of a lot easier.

I was wondering what was so “crazy” about this picture
http://s.wsj.net/public/resources/images/P1-AS758_Haiti1_G_20091203175610.jpg
Not to rain on the parade
I wonder is Luc 17 or an old 18 turning 19 prior to the end of the school year? Him being Haitian, that tends to lend itself to having a bit more natural size, considering a lot of Haitians mentioned in the article are LB’s and D-Lineman (except Garcon). Point being, does anyone have an opinion on what his true upside is? Is he Marvin Jones or Darryl Bush, Derrick Brooks or AJ Nicholson? He is tremendously developed already even if he’s 21! Especially at 6-1, is that gonna put a cap on his growth and development as a player?
by westcoastnolefan on Dec 7, 2009 11:50 PM EST up reply actions
Are you afraid he'll leave for the NFL after his freshman year? LOL
He’s a monster is what he is. He’ll have some room for development, particularly in pass coverage. Rivals says Luc can squat 700 lbs but he can only bench 335. This past year, the announcers were saying Ponder can press 400 lbs. I’m thinking that there might be a possibilty to reshape him a bit by adding mass up top, loosening his hips, and teaching him the mental game. Apparently he has a 3.4 GPA. It’s good to field intelligence as well as raw manpower. Here is a nice article discussing his development and growth at Treasure Coast: http://ncaafootball.fanhouse.com/2009/07/11/jeff-luc-nations-top-linebacker-recruit-no-longer-allergic-to/
Good lookin
I already felt good about getting this kid. It’s nice to know he already has a brother in college and he’s a good student himself. Last damn thing we need right now is our own version of Willie Williams! I was just afraid he may have been a UF silent already. Definitely has NFL tools. Once we have a competent staff in place to refine those tools, we may have another Bradham on our hands

Correction
I thought he may have been a UF silent before he commited to the G&G that is

So can FSU land Lemonier without Smith?
because he committed to TEnn tonight.
Ok...where is he going?
Because FSU needs some DEs BADLY.
He has everything he needs to make his decision
except the announcement of who the new FSU coaching staff will be.
Who would you all compare him to?
Just so i can get a better feel for his skillset
I dunno. He looks too fast to be a lineman
check out the youtube videos of his JUNIOR yearhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAKXHSgZs9I

Just imagine what will happen when he bulks up.
I may be wrong on this, but wasn't Smith the one who was always saying he wanted to play with Lemonier?
Not the other way around?
