32 next class
This has kind of been alluded to, but would it not a surprise to see FSU sign and enroll 32 this next class?
Consider
1) The 2009 signing class had 21 signees, but only 18 enrolled (Downs and Mizell missed academically, Phillips quit before classes started).
2) FSU could early enroll as a result as many as 7 and count those seven back to last class.
3) FSU then could sign an additional 25 (or more) and enroll 25.
25+7 is 32.
As for making room for that many despite relatively few seniors, Fisher may well (as mentioned in an article elsewhere on TN) recognize scholarships are year to year commitments, legally, and run off enough to make room. There will probably be a larger number of transfers with the staff turnover anyway.
With FSU's current scholarship limits to 83, that's a 38.55 % turnover of scholarship athletes.

Thanks for the numeric breakdown to back up what we've been saying
This is helpful!

you're welcome
though I think one thing I said could be misinterpreted — we can early enroll many more than 7, but only 7 can be counted back to last fall’s class. If more than 7 EE, the numbers above 7 count toward next fall.
no
It really on affected the first year and the year after the last. The sanction was on total on the roster. So while it was 85, the next year 83, which means you sign two less. The year after, it was 83, so the cap didn’t move.
When it ends, we have an “extra” or two to sign. I forget, was it 83 the last year of santion or 84? Either way, it means space for two extra, either in the same year or in back to back years — though we would still be in the 25 new enrollments in a year, so if that year or years we have space for 26 due to attrition and graduation, the best we could do then is give a scholie to a walkon.

So if we sign 32, how many players on scholarship would we be at?
In otherwords, what’s the number of players we’d have to “cut” to fit 32 players?
I don’t think we sign 32 unless we do so knowing full well that several won’t qualify.
