ACC Reveals FSU's 2009 Football Schedule
Let's take a look at this thing. I have included my initial thoughts and my estimate as to the chance FSU wins the game. The good news is that we will be favored in 9-11 of 12 games. The bad news is that because the ACC plays low-risk, competitive, NFL-style football; we'll be small favorites. This is a difficult schedule and I tentatively have us at 8-4. An 8-4 against this schedule would represent improvement in a season where the offense should be better and the defense will likely struggle.
Monday, September 7th: v. Miami , Primetime ESPN
I think this favors the Noles. Despite Miami having a new offensive coordinator after the dismissal of Patrick Nix, early season games favor teams with experienced offense since offenses typically take longer to gel. Put another way, it's much harder to have an offense ready to go on opening night than it is to have a defense ready. FSU returns almost all of its offense intact while the defense should have some fresh faces. Miami has a lot of new offensive players and new system. I like this matchup and an early win will give FSU the needed momentum. Remember that it is better to be 4-0 on September 26th than 4-0 on October 10th as the voters tend to weight those early undefeated wins more. This is a very winnable game for the 'Noles and we will be favored over our hated rival. 75%
Saturday, September 12th: v. Jacksonville State (Alabama) Hottest part of the afternoon, Pay-Per-View
Normally I'd say "yawn" here, but in this case, there is some appeal. Former Five-Star QB from LSU, Ryan Perriloux, plays for Jax State. I'd really rather play this game in the week before the Florida game, but we're not beating UF this year anyway. If we play sloppily in this game, let's hope it's because we're preparing for... 100%
Saturday, September 19th: @ BYU (time undetermined)
BYU returns only 4 starters on offense. Among the losses is WR Austin Collie, the best receiver in school history. His loss was unexpected as he was a junior. This will be a difficult game, but one FSU will be a slight favorite to win. This fits with the "play inexperienced/ new offenses early" idea. Recruiting Note: we are after some kids from Utah and this game could help. the mild weather is much preferable to the harsh cold winter. 70%
Saturday, September 26th: v. USF (probably a night game if we are 3-0 and USF is undefeated as well.)
USF returns only 4 offensive starters off a unit that wasn't very good last year (46th in FEI). USF could easily be billed as the Big East favorite. In fact, this team returns only 9 total starters, one of the least experienced returning squads in the nation. That's good for us, but remember that they have improved their recruiting quite a bit, so the replacements will be more talented than you might initially think. 80%
Saturday, October 3rd: @ Boston College
Boston College should be an average team next year. They have a huge question mark at the QB position, as well as all of the coaching spots. BC is in disarray as I write this, but they should gel before this matchup. The biggest problem for the Eagles is the 700lb hole in the middle of their defense left as BJ Raji (a rare prospect) and Ron Brace (a veteran big body and decent player) left. BC doesn't recruit well enough to replace those guys. If they find a quarterback, their offense could be above average as they have a very good offensive line. I really think they took a hoke step back with the coaching moves. The team returns 13 (or 14) starters from the '08 Squad. We get a break with the weather here, as it won't be blizzard conditions! 75%
Saturday, October 10th: v. Georgia Tech
The Yellow Jackets could be really good next year. One of their best defensive players, Cornerback Jerrad Terrant (cleared of a rape charge). Mickey Andrews defenses own pro-style schemes and are absolutely inept against anything else. GTech put up 31 points in a little under three quarters before their QB got hurt. They gained eight yards per SNAP with their QB in the game. Some claim we should have won this game, but any rational observer must realize that we would have given up 52+ had their QB not rolled his ankle. They do lose three senior defensive linemen, including two high draft picks. Our offense should be able to move the ball on Tech, and they will have to put up a ton of points. I'll say 60%
Thursday, October 22nd: @ UNC, ESPN
UNC is a very good team and few people seem to know much about them. They have the ACC's best defense and their unit has the very real potential to be as good as UF's or USC's in 2009. Their defense is going to give our offense fits. Their offense should be good but not great. Thursday night games are extremely favorable for the home team, historically. Thankfully we don't get a short week here. 40%
Saturday, October 31st: v. NC State
NC State will be the most overhyped ACC team of 2009. They have a very good QB and some nice pieces on defense, but people are forgetting to look at the whole picture. Despite popular belief, they return only 14 starters (not an above-average number). They lose super-talented RB Brown and they will miss the 8 departed starters. FSU should beat this team in Doak. 75%
Saturday, November 7th: @ Clemson
This game will be much tougher than Seminole fans believe. Clemson has recruited a ton of talent in the past few years and they will still play great defense. Their offense was riddled with offensive line injuries this year and they should be better by November. Clemson returns 14 of their 22 starters, including 8 on defense. This game and not the NC State contest will be for the Atlantic Division 55%
November 14th: @ Wake Forest
This game will be the battle of experienced offenses led by veteran quarterbacks against inexperienced defenses. Nobody on FSU's roster has ever beaten Wake Forest. Wake returns only three defensive starters, and they lose two likely first round picks. That's tough for any team to replace, but Wake could have a really tough time with that because they don't bring in elite talent on a consistent enough basis. Wake's offense has been eroding over the past few years and I expect them to fire their offensive coordinator following another disappointing 2009 offense (relative to their 9 returning starters). 70%
Saturday, November 21st: v. Maryland
Andrews' defense did very well against James Franklin's offense last year in Maryland. The offense fared pretty well against the the Maryland defense as well. This game is in Tallahassee and Maryland returns only Nine starters-- total. They haven't been recruiting especially well and It will be very tough for a Maryland team which lost 30 seniors and a very important junior (Heyward-Bey) to beat the Seminoles in Doak. 90%
Saturday, November 29th: @ UF
UF has the chance to go down as the best team in college football history. Tebow will definitely go down as the best ever, much to our chagrin. UF has better players, coaches (until we lose Bowden, Amato, Allen, and Andrews), fans, and this game is at home. The real change here should come in 2010. 7%

if we may agree to disagree
i agree with the majority of this post, and i really like this site but…..where was all this talk about bowden, amato, and andrews in pre 2000 when the offense actually pulled its own weight. i totally agree with the jody allen (recruiting) assumptions, the problems we have are talent related. was amato a bad coach when he was coaching derrick brooks, marvin jones, sam cowart-no. was mickey a bad dc/db coach with these players along with the likes of deion , terrell and the lineman of lore(boulware, wilson, etc..)-no. Who was calling for Bowdens head with 14 top 5 finishes, any takers. defenses (having played on one) cannot perform at peak when offenses are continually going 3 & out as in prior to this last year. there was some improvement but still alot of kickers in the whirlpool after games. as the influx of talent improves , so will perceptions of these coaches. this downslide was partly due to the loss of richt, amato in the first place and mostly due to nepotism. jimbo is making huge strides. when we were winning ,the offense was running to pass not passing to run and this is looking better and with the YOUNG offense that we have. i have noticed teams actually preparing to stop the run first, which shows oline fundamentals getting better. as they learn pass blocking and ponder actually has time to check down to a #3,4 option(with good routes)the offense will keep the d off the field and all the naysayers will have nothing to complain about the d wont get tired so early in the 4thq -that said we need 2 yrs more -2010. not ready for fu,but as for the rest of the league @ clemson tough, but still alot of youth on the oline, our d should win that battle, and we should prepare better for techs option, good to have canes first with all the changes,nc state has my attention, n.c and byu away could be difficult , but have to believe with 1 more yr of o line bulking and learning that we should still improve by 1 game-my feeling is 10-3 and acc ccg appearance, and win—and as long as this program is heading in the right direction, and I believe it is Bowden has EARNED the right to finish the rebuild, of course w/o costing us jimbo—sorry about the rant , wine induced , again love this site-go noles!
Amato...
Amato is an absolutely terrible coach.
Did he used to be good? Eh. Probably. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. But since he was absolutely handed the job on a silver platter without any competition when Kevin Steele left he has done absolutely nothing for this program. He can’t recruit. Name me one significant recruit he has signed that was not already a lock. He can’t coach. Our LB play has dropped off considerably since Steele left. And he can’t be the disciplinarian everyone claims him to be. Our players still carry weed around, but as long as it is neatly organized in their lockers, Amato doesn’t care. He is an absolute garbage coach these days.
If only coaches were able to target certain players in high school and develop them to fit their system, then Mickey Andrews could be great again. Oh wait. You mean they already do that? Mickey has just been doing a terrible job of evaluating defensive back talent? Oh. Add to that his defensive schemes are straight out of Madden ‘92 and you’ve got a past-his-prime Defensive Coordinator.
It’s sad that the best argument I’ve heard a lot of Bowden people use is that he doesn’t do anything anymore. Let me put that in bold for the world to see: Bobby Bowden doesn’t do anything anymore. The cushiest $2.5 million-a-year job in the country. I actually saw it on an online list of the best jobs in the world right after that scuba diving thing in Australia. Jimbo Fisher is doing all the work, has the only unit on the team that had any success last year, and isn’t getting the credit (wins, salary, etc).
I do not care what a coach did 15 years ago. 15 years ago will not win me a single football game next season. What are you doing right now? Right now, all three of these coaches suck.
btw I didn't mean to jump on you after your first post.
These three coaches just happen to be my sore spot.
Welcome to the site, realnole!!
Don't apologize.
The truth hurts, but it also sets you free. (Or something. That was supposed to sound cooler than it did.)
Anyway, hey realnole1128, in defense of MattD’s blast, I’m sure you’re a nice guy/gal, but since you’re a fan of the site, you should already be aware that the writers and fellow fans here have spent the better part of their online lives shooting down almost every point you made in your post about The Entitled Ones among our coaching staff. That’s why we’re not so much mad at you (you have the right to your opinion) as we are maybe a little bit offended (folks here have covered your disagreements ad nauseum). This place is a resource of expert analysis from the staff and some pretty darn good and well-informed opinion from good people who follow the program and love it just as much as you do. Read up. We hold all of our coaches accountable while heaping praise on their accomplishments when it’s deserved.
Bleh two Thursday Nighters?
I’ve always held the opinion a “Name” program should never have to play on a day other than Saturday. When was the last time UF,USC, Texas, etc played a regular season game on a day besides Saturday?

Yeah...but...
That thursday night is Thanksgiving Day night too. I know what you’re saying but it is different. It’s basically the weekend at that point, maybe better.
ESPN has been working hard
at getting ranked teams to play on Thurday night and have had some really great games and matchups.
I agreed with everything you said
I just had to play devil’s advocate, or something like that. Sorry.
and yes, they have put together some very good games
especially this past year
I agree
I agree we shouldn’t play on Thursday nights. I hate them. Unfortunately it’s not FSU’s decision. The ACC has a contract with ESPN to play a certain amount (I think it’s 7) of Thursday night games. As I think we all know by now, as evidinced by the whole Miami scheduling debacle, that when ESPN and the ACC get together to schedule something big they go right to FSU and we suffer.
Not that i'm saying I like the Thursday night games
I just don’t think that it is just a showcase for the small programs like it use to be and I don’t look at it a belittling to play on Thursday night. They always seem to favor the underdog.
A thursday night game to start the season doesn't hurt....
however when you have short weeks in the middle of the year…that bites.
"I have come that you may have life, and life to the max"
We have one Thursday nighter. Miami is a Monday I believe.

I saw two originally
One is more easy to stomach, as the Miami game is essentially a weekend game. Still, not fun that it’s against UNC.

Wow....
tough schedule and it is so obvious that the ACC is making strides. I would challenge the percentage a little bit in the GT game and say that they will be favorites and we have about a 45% chance. It is virtually the same offense and we will still have the same old and worn out defensive coord. who is going to run the same scheme. Stopping both offenses should give both teams fits. Let’s hope that the Big MC’s can blow up zone blocking schemes and disrupt the backfield. It will be a fun game.
Also, I think we win the NCSt game, but I do think it is a good game. To our benefit their style of offense isn’t as gimmicky as the ones that we have trouble stopping…however, they were one of the hottest teams at the end of last year in the ACC and will be very (relative term) good. I dont think they loose as much at running back as you think. Jamelle Eugene had quite a few carries and rushed for like 80 yards on only a handful of carries against us.
ACC isn’t a cakewalk though and i agree that UNC and Clemson are going to be huge tests.
"I have come that you may have life, and life to the max"
Clemson
For now, I’m calling the game at home with FSU a loss. There are still too many questions for us to answer that I would rather not guess about for now. If Clemson has an OL I think we can get to 10, but given recent history and how I’ve had my hopes up the last few years for that (particularly while FSU is down), I’m not drinking KoolAid this year.
Had Clemson had Chris Hairston at LT the whole game I believe the thumping you gave us late this past season would’ve been a much closer game. Corey Lambert couldnt do the job.
Often a team that flops in it's supposed "year to win", they come back strong the next.
The Arizona Cardinals, for instance.
I look forward to a great contest

My 2 cents..
I think its a tough schedule overall. ESPN strong armed FSU and UM into the Labor Day night game plus another thursday night game at UNC. We have to travel out west to Utah and up to Boston over a 3 week span with a tricky USF game sandwiched in between. Finish with 3 of 4 on the road (including Tebow’s last game at UF).
8-4 would be a solid year.
by FtLauderdaleNole on Feb 12, 2009 1:08 PM EST reply actions
Wow....
Maybe my G&G glasses are heavily tinted this morning, but I see us doing much better than 8-4…i can actually see 10-2 with this schedule (UNC & UF), but it’s possible we’ll take that UNC game and end 11-1. Of course there’s always the possibility we have a letdown against someone we should beat, but I think we’ll take care of business.
I guess my point is that with the turn around in recruiting, and the experience we’re returning (primarily on offense), I wouldn’t be surprised if we finished anywhere between 9-3 and 11-1. I’d be more shocked if we lost 4 games to be quite honest.
Don’t forget to discount for a likely worse off defense. We don’t really have any returning proven playmakers with the exception of Robinson. There’ll be a lot of youth on the defensive side.
Well...
Besides Everette Brown and Neefy Moffett, I can’t think of a bigger playmaker last year than Dekoda Watson… a returning starter. With that said, I got your point.
Yes, I guess i'm just optimistic...
I don’t see a huge drop-off. E Brown was a special player, but we’ll still have talent on that side of the ball.
maybe we even improve on D if we get early contibution from reid, downs, mizell, demps...
I mean, i’ve heard many complaints on here about T. Carter (subject to at least a couple of burns per season), Mangum, etc… We have arguably better freshmen to replace these guys.
The GT game
is pivatol to me. Initially, I make the comparison to how we got beat by VT in 07 then turned around to beat them in 08. However, I wonder if VTs QBs had not been hurt if we still win that game (08). I just think our D is suspect this year again. The GT game is critical becuase in theory, it will be the best offense we see at that point in the season. We get blasted, and then lose to UNC, man that will be a real test.
If we do play that Jax State game in the afternoon, the team will still be recovering by BYU game, especially after playing 5 days earlier in Miami. From a sports physiology perspective, I hope the trainers almost treat this three week stretch as the “peak” of the season and prep the players.
I hate the fact that we are playing at UNC on Thursday.
That’s our 2nd toughest game of the year imo.
Looks like a fun schedule
We really scheduled some tough games. Our OOC schedule is pretty darn good. Probably the best SEC team, maybe the beat big-east team and one of the top non-bcs teams. Plus the powerhouse known as Jax State.
Here are my win percentages:
Miami – .6
Jax State – .99
@ BYU – .7
USF – .7
@ BC – .65
GT – .6
@ UNC – .55
NCSU – .65
@ Clemson – .7
@ Wake – .8
Maryland – .75
@ UF – .1
That totals 7.79 – 4.21
In conf = 6 – 2
I actually have us favored in every game but UF, but I’m not very confident vs Miami, GT, BC or UNC.
Teams like NCSU and Maryland always seem to give us problems when they have no business to, so I had to give them some respect as well.
Clemson lost almost everyone but they always embarass us when they are at home. As for Wake, they lost too much on defense and we will finally end this little streak they have going.
http://today.sportingnews.com/sportingnewstoday/20081229/?pg=2
Nice, TDC
When did you begin to use proportional win-shares (win %’s?)
I like your estimates for the most part. I don’t think BC can score with us, and I think Maryland could be pretty bad.
Clemson didn’t lose as much as you might think. Harper (terrible), Davis (good), Kelly (good), and two safeties. They will be much stronger along the lines, however, and should have a mobile quarterback.
By the way, your conference numbers are 5.3-2.7, but you project 6-2. That brings up an interesting question: would you rather have 12 games where your chance to win is 50, OR, 6 where your win % chance is 80 and 6 where it is 20%?
I started when I came to this site and saw everyone else doing it
My 6-2 projection must have been a math error on my part, I must have miscalculated.
I don’t think BC will have a very good offense next year but they overachieve every single year and the game is at BC, plus this time I won’t be in attendence keeping the chestnut hill students in line like the last 2 times. Going into 08 I was so excited because I thought BC was going to absolutely fall off the face of the earth, having lost Ryan, Silva, Tribble, Dunbar, Callender, etc. Instead they actually improved.
It’s a new coach and a new QB, but I have a sinking feeling that they somehow find a way to win some games and play us well at home.
Willy Korn looked pretty bad vs. GT and I’m not sure if he is ready to run this offense, plus I really don’t like Dabo as HC.
I’d rather 12 games where my win % is 50 in each game because in that scenario you actually have a shot at a conference title. If you are at 20% in half the games the best you can go realistically is 7-5.

UF - 0% chance of winning, I don't care what anyone else says. Timmy's last game at the Swamp, I'm thinking a 30-40 point loss.
I think UNC will run us out of the building (circa Clemson 2003). I think we’ll come in highly ranked (top 10) and get spanked.
It will be fun beating Miami by a couple of touchdowns.
Our goal is simple: Best in the land
Kill a fly with an axe -- Mickey Andrews
UNC?
The same UNC that got embarassed by NCSU and lost their top player?
Their QB stinks, other than that the team is pretty talented with a very good coach. But we’ll be fine. And we’ll be rested, and prepared.

Their QBs weren't terrible . . . . Yates and Sexton were decent.
We have UNC at the worst possible time. Midseason, they will be humming.
And we’ll be rested, and prepared
We’ll be prepared? Jimbo will, not sure about Mickey.
Our goal is simple: Best in the land
Kill a fly with an axe -- Mickey Andrews
I don't like arguing with a first time poster myself.
On the other hand I emphatically do not believe BB has “earned” the right to finish anything. It is his stubborn attitude that led to having to rebuild.
I am not to worried about opening with Miami. They will be so tired from the bus ride to Tally they won’t know what hit them.

well I like this scheduled
Miami going to be looking for an identity
Jacksonville State so what they have a x-LSU qb this games a blow out
BYU is going to be over-rated good but more like vanderbilt this year
USF great the second crack bone Off in 2 weeks. but as said above, not going to be that good.
Boston College this team is going to flop over the next few years. I see Duke beating them.
Georgia Tech All I know is MA better start watching the LSU vs GT and get his #$%@ down they could have a good QB running this system by then.
UNC Im sorry this team lost its big playmaker they are not going to be all that good.
NC State I have to say is going to be better than UNC. I think the hype is going to have meaning.
Clemson a day late a buck short. I think they will be ok good but not great good. we will win
Wake Forest “game over man, game over”FFllX Sorry WF is falling from the grace and will take a huge step back.
Maryland same as this year
UF WE ARE GOING TO WOOP THAT ok I know Im full of it but someone is going to have to do it why not me. I have faith. cough cough. (We can do it yes we can)
Careful with calling the JSU
game a blowout. Remember Troy? Trap game if we don’t prepare for it. We def. have a MUCH better team then they do, but they will be itching for the upset.
I think the in-conference is a tough schedule. Out of conference isn’t all that bad with the exception of Florida.
"I have come that you may have life, and life to the max"
matt-thanks for the warm welcome lol
although i do believe steele took over for amato after nc #2 when he left for nc state, the decline in lb play has been since then, not before and amatos coaching, recruiting (or lack thereof) has not been resposible for that, hes only been back 2 full yrs-i guess we’ll see after this season. if the lb play does not improve by then, yeah im with ya i agree with the what have you done lately thing Oh.. and yeah bb may have been a little stubborn, but would you or could you have fired your own son? 4311, hes only gonna be here a couple more yrs anyway- just glad that youre passionate about winning – —-doc, lol the bus ride and the new system( was it both sides of the ball or just o?) ,at least this yr getting the shoos er, shoes early should be good for us- no place like 127.0.0.1
I wouldn't have put my own son in that kind of position to begin with
I wouldn’t exactly call Lawrence Timmons, Ernie Sims, Michael Boulware, AJ Nicholson, and Kendyl Pope a decline in LB play either.
Joe Kines was the guy that replaced Amato.
And he was terrible. Just did not fit in well here.
Steele was only here for 2003-2006. In that time he supplied us with every linebacker that has contributed to this team for the last 4 years. Not to mention he was just about the only good recruiter on staff, and was used to pick up defensive prospects at every position. He also coached 2 first round picks at LB as well.
Amato is a bad coach and would not get hired at any other program in the top 40.
schedule looks tough
assuming the parity we saw last season continues and it probably should considering that most teams(conf) had first yr qbs last yr- can only assume most offenses will be better if for no other reason.
11-1 could be a shot
Miami – I think we win this game and I think we win it quite easily. They have the athletes and the talent but they don’ t make plays. The only guy that scares me on that team is Travis Benjamin. Craig Cooper is a wannabe Willis McGahee and honestly has not made any plays that I can remember. The James guy is just living off the rep of the Edge. Thats the problem with Miami that I see and the problem that we have had and maybe still do to an extent. They think just because they don that “U” and the jersey numbers of the McGahees, Irvins, Jameses that they will be good. But Jimbo is starting to get rid of that inherited swagga and making them earn it on the field. I think we win quite easily. Offensively they won’t be any good and while their defense has talent they don’t force the turnovers and ints that the old Miami defenses have done.
Jacksonville State – I don’t even need to see this game, put up 21 on the board right now. I’m sure of this being a win as tomorrow being Saturday.
BYU – Last year this team might have given us problems, but not this year. I think it will be a close game but we pull it out. I guess Bobby wants to go and learn more about the Mormon faith.
USF – This game worries me, USF has some talent and they have that Grothe guy who has been around forever and he has the potential to run around back there like he is Fran Tarkenton and make plays against our young D. But I think we will have too much offensively for them and will make enough plays to beat them.
Boston College – No way we lose this game, Jagz is gone, they will have like their 11th choice as a coach. Who is their QB again? The program is in disarray and we don’t lose up at Chestnut Hill. Only way we lose is if we wear the black jerseys.
Georgia Tech – This is a game that scares me to death. I have nightmares of that option offense shredding us for 400 yards. This is a game that we can lose and, in my opinion, probably will lose. We were lucky to even be in the game last year and that offense and team will only improve. Paul Johnson is, in my opinion, the most underrated coach in the country and I think we lose a heart breaker. We all know how Mickey is against unconvential defenses and this won’t change with a worse defense.
UNC – I don’t know why you guys are worried about this game. This is a W. Who is their quarterback? The only player that I can name from that team is gone. Butch Davis is two years away in my opinion.
NC State – The days of losing to the likes of NC State and Maryland are over and replaced with losing to the likes of Boston College and Clemson. This is a W. They lose their top running back and their quarterback was not that impressive. We should be able to hang 40 on them.
Clemson – Besides losing to Wake Forest there hasn’t been a more irritating inferior opponent to lose to than Clemson. Anybody else sick of losing to them up there? I am and it needs to stop. They severely underachieved last year with a much more talented team and they will be even worse in my opinion. Their thunder and lightning duo is now just lightning and Clemson hasn’t had a decent QB since Whitehurst and that won’t change any time soon. The hex ends and we in Clemson.
Wake Forest – This is getting ridiculous and it needs to stop now. I can live with getting blown out by Florida but getting beat by Wake Forest. The fact that Riley Skinner is 3-0 against us is beyond belief. I have never seen him throw the ball farther than 20 yards down the field nor do I believe he can. This has to end and it will. No way they hold us under 21 points with their best defensive players leaving and that offense as usual will be bad. This is a W.
Maryland – The Fridge is the most overrated coach in college football. This guy has been riding that Orange Bowl berth for 7 years now and its ridiculous. He hasn’t had a good quarterback since Shaun Hill and hasn’t had a good running back since Bruce Perry. This is a blowout because their offense is horrific and has been for about 6 years now. Easy win for the ’Noles. If you are going to the “Black Out” do it against this team. Senior day and a bad opponent.
Florida – Put 14 points up on the board right now for Florida. If we keep this close I’ll be happy. We are not winning this game. If we returned our defense than maybe we would have a shot. Our only hope is if get Tebow knocked out of the game early. But we don’t have a Buster Davis or a Nic Harris on our team that could do that. We should be able to put points on the board this year. We were able to move the ball at will in the Doak but once we got inside the 20 we couldn’t convert. Next year is when we should and will beat them.
I think we have a great at shot at going 11-1, but will we? Probably not. The Florida game is a guaranteed L and we will probably slip up to an inferior opponent like has been our MO ever since we lost to Louisville in that monsoon back in ’02. My guess is either G-Tech or Clemson. So we most likely will go 10-2 or 9-3, but I think we go 10-2 being the positive guy that I am.
