This article written by some Penn State homer might be the worst piece of journalism ever. To say that Joe Paterno deserves the record is ridiculous and completely asinine and completely ignorant. Then to compare Bobby getting the record to Barry Bonds holding the home run record is sheer lunacy and ignorance. He also has the nerve to say that "Paterno has done more for Penn State than any coach at any university" even though Bobby turned a girls school into one of the elite programs in the country. I don't know whats more impressive? Turning the flagship university of your state into a "powerhouse" or turning a women's college into one of the most dominant machines the sport has ever seen. He also tries to justify Paterno having bad kids by the "everybody else does it" excuse.
But the worst crime this "journalist" committed, in my opinion, is by saying that Paterno is the better man. How can you honestly say that and believe that? I don't know who is the better man and it doesn't matter, but you can't without any evidence say that Paterno is the better man and therefore deserves the record.
Thank God that newspapers are going under because we won't have to deal with this garbage.
