Football Practice: full contact or two-hand touch?

Since spring practice is now underway, I thought it would be interesting to discuss whether or not practice should be full contact or not. I started thinking about this topic after reading Mark Richt's comments in this AJC article:

Richt going "old school"

The basic premise of that article is that Richt believes the reason UGA didn't live up to last year's hype was that he was too soft on his players in practice. He had two injuries in the first two plays of fall practice and he freaked out. Remind anyone of this:

E.J. out for the spring

Spring practice differs quit a bit from fall for a number of reasons. So, I think spring is fair game. Full contact all the way. I also think you need full contact in the beginning of fall practice as well. Once games start, I still think you need the occasional hat-on-a-hat melee. However, contact practices should be limited to once a week or maybe once every two weeks. Thoughts?
