Around SBN: NFL Roundtable: Which Draft Pick Is Most Likely To Bust?

Once again, I am asking for your help to vote for Toney as the best point guard in the nation. He is currently second in fan voting behind Dominic James of Marquette. TNation, it's up to you to go out and represent.

Here is my argument as to why he should get the vote:
1. He plays 36 minutes per game, for 90% of the teams possible minutes.
2. He is number one in the ACC in shot attempts and FG made.
3. He leads the ACC in total points and is 2nd in points per game. He ranks 20th in the nation in both categories.
4. He is 3rd in the conference in FT attempts and FT made.
5. He is 1st in the conference in total steals and 3rd in steals per game.
6. He is 10th in the conference in total assists.
7. He lead this team to a 4 seed in the ACC tournament and led the Seminoles to their first NCAA tournament appearance since 1997

I voted.

We’re still 9% back. I guess my vote doesn’t carry as much weight as I thought…

Got my vote also

We should find the guy who wrote the voting bot that helped us win the best helmet poll last summer.

Is this award really determined by the fans?

or is that only one part of the equation. I understand it was late in the season but James has been out for what the last 4 games?? Granted they have yet to win without him which proves his importance but i think you should have to play the whole year.

Here is the voting process on the site: So we count for 1 of 30 votes

A list of nominees for the Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award will be solicited via direct mailings to all Division I, II and III college head coaches ACROSS THE COUNTRY

SCREENING COMMITTEES FOR EACH DIVISION will review the nominations and reduce the number of candidates to a finalist group of 16 players. The finalist group will be represented by players within each division. (12 DIVISION I, 2 DIVISION II AND 2 DIVISION III PLAYERS)

A premier Selection Committee will be appointed by the Hall of Fame to review the list of candidates.

The Selection Committee will be comprised of up to 30 members representing the following constituent groups: Hall of Famers, Head Coaches from each NCAA Division, Sports Information Directors and the Media.

The committee will be representative of the college basketball population.

Selection of the winner will be arrived at by a ballot following the conference call of the Selection Committee.

The Bob Cousy Award presented by The Hartford is given to the top collegiate male basketball point guard annually spanning across all divisions within the game by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The selection criteria emphasize leadership, team work, success, and fundamentals as being critical parts for the game of basketball as a point guard. Nominations are solicited from across the country from head coaches and the winner is selected by a Blue Ribbon Selection Committee made up of the biggest names in college basketball.

College basketball fans nationwide will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite candidate online at www.cousyaward.com. The top vote-getter from the on-line poll will receive the "Fan Vote", representing one vote to be cast by the Blue Ribbon committee selecting the Award winner. The Blue Ribbon committee is comprised of Hall of Famers including Bob Cousy, Dean Smith and Jim Calhoun, as well as college coaches from Divisions I, II and III, members of the media and additional college basketball experts and celebrities. The 2009 Bob Cousy Award presented by The Hartford winner will be presented at the NCAA Men’s Final Four in Detroit, Michigan on Monday, April 6.
