1st Annual Tomahawk Nation NCAA Bracket Challenge [Rules Updated]

March Madness is upon us and Selection Sunday is this Sunday.

The Noles are preparing for their ACC tournament game and looking forward to their first NCAA tournament in years.

Now it is time for you to put your basketball knowledge to the test and compete in the Tomahawk Nation NCAA Bracket Challenge.

You know you needed another excuse to fill out one more bracket...

Information and stuff inside...

Star-divide

FSUn and I figured we should set up a bracket challenge for all of you using Yahoo's Bracket Challenge. Follow this link to get started:

Tomahawk Nation Tournament Challenge

The password is: seminoles

Now there are a few rules that apply:

1. Same rules as Tomahawk Nation. No vulgarity on the message boards, be nice, thoughtful and appropriate. No Trolling. I can toss you out of the bracket challenge if necessary.

2. Please name your Bracket Challenge Entry with your SBNation Screen Name or some way that we can identify who is who. For example, my bracket is called TC's Bracket

3.  Only one entry per member.

4. Have fun.

Here are a couple of sites/articles to help with your selection:

Basketball Prospectus Guide    Nice article with a lot of heavy stats.

Feel free to post any other links you like in the comments section.

Unfortunately, this will be my last post for about a week as I have to focus my attention on passing my boards...you know that whole career thing...enjoy the rest of the week and the ACC tournament...

Go NOLES!

Cheers,

TC

Let's hope the big man takes us to the Sweet 16!

I'm in

And I’m pumped

I’ve been looking at some of the brackets and some of them don’t scare me at all:

http://collegebasketball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=921743
This one would have our bracket look like this:

1)MiSty (Michigan State)
2)Louisville
3)Washington
4)FSU
5)Butler
6)Marquette
7)LSU
8)BYU
9)Dayton
10)Ok State
11)UNLV
12)Utah St
13)Weber St
14)Stephen Austin
15)E Tenn St
16)Morgan St

So (to seed) Weber St, Butler, Misty and Louisville to get to the Final Four?

Bring it on!

For a while, we've been a 5 or 6 in the brackets

While Clemson has been a 4. We’ve basically switched places based on our better ACC record and two head-to-head wins. Of course, there’s a likely rematch coming up on Friday. If we win, I think we’re guaranteed at least a 4 (I’ll be disappointed otherwise)
Of course, if we make some more noise in the ACC tournament, there’s room to move up! :)

I posted in another thread that i didnt think there was much room to move up...

unless we either won or went to the finals of the ACC tournament. I would think four would be the highest we could get right? or do you think if we found a way to win the ACC tourney that we could move to a 3???

On another bracket

I saw we were potentially playing Arizona in the first round. I’ve watched a few of their games this year, they suck.

Welcome, B-rod24!

Arizona is a GREAT shooting team, and that plays into our hands, as we are very good at forcing ugly shots.

Ahh..

But Western Kentucky won the Sun Belt Conference tournament assuring that there’s at least one tourney team that we’ve beaten.
