The story I am about to relay to you is a tale of terror that spans decades. While the media which is filled with gator sycophants continues drone on about free shoes due to well placed journalists who stream from the UF journalism school the only journalism school in the great state of Florida, mayhem on the University of Florida continues unabated. For this reason you are most likely not familiar with them.

This story is not for the squeamish. It involves horrific examples of gator football players firing Ak-47 assault rifles in downtown Gainesville after slapping and spitting on the victim, being fingered as driving the getaway car in armed robberies, dangling their girlfriends over balconies and threatening to drop them, beating children within an inch of their lives, payola from sports agents which allowed these gangsters to drive Mercedes automobiles, gambling on sports, stalking women on campus, breaking the wrists of women with their fists in late night motel brawls, cocaine use along with other mind altering drugs, shoplifting, resisting arrest, beating women and putting pillowcases over their heads, break ins at towing companies, firing AK-47s into apartment dwelling and then having football players claiming the gun went off while five of them were in the shower together.

Yes this all happened under the watchful eyes of gator coaches Steve Ovrville Spurrier, Urban Meyer who assures us he is recruiting the top 1% of the top 1% and Charley Pell who later committed suicide after being forced out at the University of Florida.

This is what the NCAA had to say concerning the University of Florida infractions which were considered very serious when they were reported some years ago.“Unfortunately, during the five-year period in which the violations occurred,” continued Mr. Toner, "the football coaching staff operated unimpeded by any effort being exerted by the university’s director of athletics or any other administrative authority at the university to assure control of the football program. Due to this fact, as well as the serious nature of many of the violations in this case, the Committee on Infractions and the Council considered this to be among the most serious infractions cases ever processed by the NCAA."

In 1984 Charley Pell, who was dismissed by Florida president Marshall Criser three games into the season – after the NCAA sent Florida a list of 107 alleged violations that included paying players, holding illegal practices and spying on opponents’ practices. Pell never got another college coaching job. He tried and failed to commit suicide in 1994. Pell died of cancer in 2001 at age 60.

“NCAA Committee on Infractions member John Nowak implied that the Gators should feel lucky, saying “FLORIDA GOT THE BIGGEST DISCOUNT, ON MAJOR PENALTIES, THAT’S EVER BEEN GIVEN IN THE NCAA’S HISTORY.”

New addendum on the Florida Gator First Family Of Crime.

Jabar Gaffney- Part of UF’s first family of crime… perhaps one of the most notorious criminals ever at UF, but only because he was never punished by UF for his crimes. He committed two felonies when he burglarized a high school teams locker room and stole money and a watch.

The situation got worse when there ultimately never any punishment for the legend dubbed "Jaburglar Gafelony". He was "kicked off" the team, but allowed to stay on scholarship the following spring. When Spurrier unexpectedly lost two receivers to the NFL draft, Mr. Win at all Costs Spurrier had a sudden change of heart and allowed him to return to the team. However, he was off scholarship and in the doghouse. To this day, no one can tell me where he was working so he could pay for school when he wasn’t on scholarship.

The alleged "doghouse" resulted in him being the 3rd string receiver by the time the season started and starting by the 3rd game. How could Spurs have been so harsh? His scholarship was, of course, given back…. In a rather ironic twist, Gaffney beat a child that was trying to steal from him.

Gaffney is the defendant in a civil suit as a result of excessive force. It seems this child, who was 14, was such a force that Gaffney, Bam Hardmon, and another player, all players on the UF football team could barely restrain him. (Riiiggghhttt…wink) Bam had to kick the child 3 times and kicked him three times so hard, it caused a stress fracture in his leg. When asked if the police should be called, Gaffney responded, "Hell no" and proceeded to try and drown the child in nearby lake.

The child is alleging neurological injury from the beating….. Gaffney also started a brawl on Bourbon Street with U of M players because he couldn’t handle being called names by them. Realizing he needed every player to have any chance of beating Miami , Spurrier, Mr. Win at all Costs, suspended no one for the melee….. The funniest thing is that Jaburglar received more punishment for a throat slash gesture (1/2 game), than any of the above. (Spurrier at his finest!!!!!)

Jabar was heavily recruited at Florida even though his uncle Don Gaffney a former gator quarterback under Doug Dickey was charged with shoplifting at a local Gainesville Mall. He tried to outrun police at the time and was well known in the Gainesville, Florida area as an athlete who could beat you with his feet on or off the field. He was not well liked even by some Florida students who often challenged him in the old Florida Alligator to a shoplifting contest in the shopping mall of his choice.

Jabar is the son of another University of Florida gator wide receiver Derrick Gaffney , the brother of Don who was quoted as saying:

“I told Jabar the cream always rises to the top,” Derrick said. "What he does is takes advantage of his opportunities. I tell people today they still haven’t seen the best of Jabar.’ (Indeed they had not)

Doug Dickey’s team was soundly defeated in Gainesville in Bobby Bowden’s second season as Seminole head coach 32-7 and it was the beginning of the end for the Dickey era but not that of the first family.
Donald is a prominent Florida attorney and member of the University of Florida Hall Of Fame and his 9 win season is revered. Mr. Gaffney was elected to the Jacksonville City Council under a slogan of: Elect Don Gaffney Honesty Decency Integrity City Council. Before putting on his Jets jersey with the number 81 for yesterday’s practice, Derrick Gaffney sported a T-shirt displaying the slogan prominently.
He also served a brief tenure in the Florida house but shortly after his arrival in Tallahassee he was indicted in federal court in Jacksonville on extortion charges rising out of actions taken when he was on the City Council.
He beat the extortion charges but served two years in prison for mail fraud and has been in and out of legal trouble since.

Today, Gaffney teaches several criminal justice courses at Edward Waters College, a school that has had its own share of legal woes lately. Like Gaffney, Edward Waters negotiated its legal issues and is now moving forward with a fully-accredited academic curriculum and a Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame inductee as a member of its faculty.

Coach Steve Spurrier granted Gaffney the second chance nearly seven months after pulling his scholarship and kicking him off the team for stealing. GAFFNEY, JABAR What was previously reported as a good Samaritan act by Florida star Jabar Gaffney was actually a violent attack, says the mother of the victim. Mary Barlow, mother of a 15-year-old boy who police say attempted to steal the player’s motor scooter, said Friday that Gaffney didn’t just apprehend the boy before calling police, but beat him, causing the son a concussion, bruises on his stomach and back, a swollen head and a black eye. On Thursday, Gaffney caught Barlow’s son, Justin, and a 14-year-old stealing motor scooters outside of the player’s residence, Lakeside Residential Complex. He allegedly held one of the boys until police could arrive. No charges have been filed against Gaffney, but Barlow said University Police officials questioned her son over the weekend. Before police were called, Mary Barlow said her son was thrown into a nearby lake, where Gaffney attempted to drown him. She said Gaffney and another person then dragged her son out of the water and beat him. Barlow said her son’s clothes were ripped off and thrown into the lake. “The guy ripped everything off of him,” she said. “He said he held my son — no, he almost killed him.” Gaffney led the Gators with 1,184 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns last season but previously had his scholarship revoked over a theft incident of his own. He was accused in December 1999 of stealing $245 in cash and an $80 watch from the Florida locker room, which was being used by a high school team during a championship game. He was charged with grand theft, and signed a “deferred prosecution agreement” last April. Spurrier pulled Gaffney’s scholarship but allowed him back on the team before last season, provided Gaffney pay his own way.

GAINESVILLE – This time, Rod Graddy didn’t need to get in trouble. Just being around it was enough to end his University of Florida football career.
Graddy, a junior strong safety and the Gators’ lone full-time starter returning from last year’s defense, was kicked off UF’s team for his involvement in the aftermath of a robbery in downtown Gainesville last weekend, school sources said.

February 1999 – (Source, CBS Sportline)- Former UF football players Tim Beauchamp and Dock Pollard have been named in an investigation for accepting cash from a sports agent during the past football season. The roommate of the two University of Florida football players, has been charged with illegally funneling money from a Lousiana sports agent to the athletes.Michael Joseph McDonald, 23, acted as a middleman for the agent and distributed the money to players. McDonald, of Gainesville , was charged with one felony count of unlicensed athletic agent activity. "We’re anticipating more charges" against other individuals, said policespokeswoman Sandy Badics. She could not say whether other players were involved. Florida officials said they learned about the investigation in late November, after the regular season had ended. The school suspended Beauchamp and Pollard on Dec. 28, before the Orange Bowl, for a violation of university rules. UF officials did not go public with incident until February, 10, nearly three months after the incident and a week after national signing day.

A recruiter for agent William "Tank" Black, who heads operations at Professional Management Inc., ("PMI") of Columbia , S.C. , reportedly has been accused by agents of trying to bribe a Louisiana State assistant coach into funneling a top NFL prospect to PMI. PMI represents ex-UF players Fred Taylor, Reidel Anthony, Ike Hilliard and Jacquez Green, as well as outgoing Gators Jevon Kearse, Mike Peterson, Reggie McGrew and Johnny Rutledge.

January, 1999 – (Source, AP) Tight end Dwight Edge, 20, of Apopka was arrested and charged with felony aggravated stalking. University officials dismissed Edge from school soon after his arrest. A backup through most of the 1998 season, the sophomore was expected to compete for a starting position next season. According to a release from the University of Florida Police Department, Edge had been harassing and stalking a Florida student since she ended a relationship with him this past September. The release said Edge waited outside the victim’s residence, threw rocks at her window and placed harassing phone calls to her residence. Police said that on two occasions, Edge chased the victim through campus in his vehicle at speeds up to 50 mph.
January, 1999 – (Source, AP) Defensive lineman Gerard Warren, 20, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession. Warren, a redshirt freshman from Union County , had not been in legal trouble previously. His case, which is still pending, is expected to result in a fine and possible community service. Neither the school, nor Spurrier has announced whether Warren … who is expected to be a starter next season … will be penalized….

December, 1998 (Source, Florida Times Union) – Three Florida players, including senior defensive end Tim Beauchamp, were suspended for violating university policy. Pollard and Browning, who have been in and out of trouble since enrolling at UF, will not return to the team. Pollard started the first five games of the season at cornerback before being suspended for the next two because of academic problems. He missed another game later in the season for a violation of university policy. Pollard was also part of a book theft incident with former player Damian Hill, although charges against Pollard were later dropped by the state attorney. Browning had been in trouble twice at UF, once for what he claimed as taking a student’s purse as a prank, and the other for driving under the influence.

August, 1998 (Source, USA Today) receiver Ian Skinner spent 15 days in county jail after a July 31 conviction for driving with a suspended license, which followed several previous arrests (4 times) on the same charge. He was also put on probation and ordered to pay fines. Skinner has not been suspended, pending possible action by the school’s Student Judicial Body. Skinner was quoted saying, "[t]he judge told me my driving record was so bad that I was looking at a year (in jail)…." Skinner said he spent part of his incarceration playing catch with toilet paper with other inmates. "But I was lucky. I told the attorneys I played football for the Gators and I had practice in a couple of weeks, and they brought it down to 15 days with probation."

Rod Graddy and Teako Brown were suspended for the opener against the Citadel for violating the University Athletic Association’s class- attendance policy in the spring. Junior Keith Kelsey, UF’s top backup linebacker, did not travel with the team for a game. Kelsey was serving a one-game suspension for violating University Athletic Association rules. Junior RB Eugene McCaslin of Tampa , was suspended for the first three games for violating team rules.

October, 1996 (Source: Various) – Mo Collins, a starting offensive tackle for then top-ranked Florida, was suspended for allegedly taking $500 in January from an individual associated with a sports agent. Collins was also held out of Saturday’s 65-0 victory over Kentucky .

September, 1996 (Source: Sun-Sentinel [Ft. Lauderdale Fla.]) – Florida offensive lineman Pat Browning, a reserve guard from Tampa who had previously had off-the-field incidences, faced a charge of driving under the influence after being arrested on the morning of the Gators’ season opener. Browning ran a stop sign and then failed four field sobriety tests before failing two Breathalyzer tests, which ead .122 and .121, which is 50 percent above the legal limit of .08.

September, 1995 (Source: Sun-Sentinel [Ft. Lauderdale Fla.]) – On Sept. 17, the day after UF defeated Tennessee, Jevon Kearse was cleaning his car at a service station when police approached him about the stereo being too loud. A routine check of Kearse turned up an outstanding warrant on charges of automobile theft in Sarasota County . He was handcuffed and led off to jail, where he spent the night. Kearse was released and charges were dropped. Jevon’s brother was later apprehended. Kearse was cleared of any wrongdoing.

September, 1995 (Source: Sun-Sentinel [Ft. Lauderdale Fla. ]) – Ernie Badeaux serves a one-game suspension for hitting another student in the back of his head.

August, 1995 (Source: Sports Illustrated) – Sports Illustrated runs an article where it described the UF football program as "a football program plagued with domestic violence problems among its players." The article focused on the mild sentences imposed on Johnie Church and Teako Brown for domestic violence assaults. Both players were only suspended for the season opener at Houston for their alleged actions. The article read: "The Florida football program, which does not have to meet the same standards as the judicial system, suspended Church and Brown for one game–a game in which the Gators will likely be no less than a four-touchdown favorite…. That penalty is considerably lighter than the one Spurrier levied against reserves Darren Hambrick and Anthony Riggins after the two fought at a banquet last New Year’s Eve; they were dismissed from the team. Lauderdale Fla. ])- Four University of Florida football players, including starting wide receiver Reidel Anthony and tailback Fred Taylor, were charged for fraudulent use of a credit card. The misdemeanor charges against Anthony and Taylor, both sophomores at the time, freshman wide receiver Jamie Richardson and redshirt freshman free safety Teako Brown came after a Gainesville police investigation. Had the credit-card charges totaled more than $100, it would have been a felony. The misdemeanor charge carried a maximum sentence of one year in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. The pizza orders -made over the telephone on four separate occasions with Pizza Hut, Papa John’s and Hungry Howie’s – were placed from and delivered to the UF campus, police said.

January, 1995 (Source: Various) – In a dining room of the Superdome in New Orleans, the Gators were having a last supper on the eve of a Sugar Bowl matchup with Florida State, and Hambrick, who was seeing increasingly more time on the field, particularly in passing situations,got into a heated exchange with teammate Anthony Riggins. There was a scuffle. Then a brawl.Riggins, a seldom-used linebacker, got the worst of it and was admitted to Tulane University Medical Hospital for treatment of a deep facial gash. He would later have hours of surgery.

April, 1994 (Source: St. Petersburg Times) – Running back Tony Davis was arrested for holding his girlfriend over the railing of her fourth-floor dormitory balcony and threatening to let her go;five months later he pleaded no contest to two counts of battery and was expelled from school for endangering a student’s safety. He also had an outstanding warrant in Alachua County for violation of probation, but has not been charged. Davis was placed on probation in 1993 for driving with a suspended license.

April, 1994 (Source: Sports Illustrated) – According to a police report, six witnesses saw wide receiver Aubrey Hill strike a Gainesville woman in the head, knocking her to the ground. The woman in Hill’s case declined to press charges.

Ryan Kalich- arrested for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
Pat Browning- arrested for DUI… also arrested on one count of misdemeanor theft when he allegedly stole a purse at a Gainesville nightclub.

Dock Pollard- arrested for a felony count of aggravated battery and one count of misdemeanor battery when he hit a girl in the face with a beer bottle… was also involved with agents.. implicated in the stolen book caper with Hill and Taylor
Dwight Edge- arrested and charged with felony aggravated stalking, his second violent offense in less than a year.. also arrested for battery on a fellow student. It was after the stalking incident that Spurrier added his infamous quote in Jan 1999, "I can assure all Gators that those players who cause embarrassment to our team and university will not play for us." LOL!!! I guess he had a strange definition of what embarrassment meant considering what has happened since then.

Damian Hill- arrested on two felony counts of dealing in stolen property and two misdemeanor counts of theft for stealing text books… left school mainly due to academic problems

Fred Taylor- charged with one count of felony dealing in stolen property for the stolen textbooks and eventually pled down to a misdemeanor theft. Fred gave a statement to the police that he knew the bookbag and its contents were stolen when given to him by Damian Hill. His remorse for this situation as to state, "I still feel like I didn’t do nothing. I think the county just wanted the money.", referring to the $108 fine…… Charged with misdemeanor for his role in Pizzagate, where he and several teammates found a credit card number and used it to buy pizza. Taylor and the others received no suspension from Coach Spurrier and played in several games before the judicial affairs committee stepped in and gave them a game. Before the season and the suspension, Spurrier said, "They got their sentence. It’s a secret. They are all scheduled to play. That’s all we need to tell you about it. We’ll handle it internally." The Sarasota Herald-Tribune said trouble seems to cling to Taylor like dirt on a little boy. The LA Times said Spurrier kept saving his trouble prone back, getting him out of the administration office and back onto the field.
Willie Jackson- arrested for felony battery on a law enforcement officer when he was prevented from entering the student section for Gator Growl. One officer had to be taken to the hospital for facial bruising and a shoulder injury… he was suspended for all of one game and was actually allowed to play in one game after the incident.

Jaime Richardson- It only took two separate felonies before Jaime was kicked off the team. He committed a felony by throwing a deadly missile into an occupied structure and hit a person inside. It seems he was mad that he had to pay a cover charge to get into the place. His next felony was aggravated battery when he hit a guy over the head with a pool stick. He was also involved in Pizzagate and the misdemeanor from that.

Teako Brown- Involved in Pizzagate and that misdemeanor… Arrested on felony aggravated battery charges after slapping his 8-month pregnant girlfriend and throwing her to the ground. Spurrier decided to play hardball on this felony and gave him a one game suspension. After Brown’s and Johnnie Mitchell’s one game suspension for their incidents, Sports Illustrated criticized Spurrier saying , "seems to be sending the message domestic violence isn’t even as serious as an intrasquad scrimmage." Elijah Williams- Charged with felony sexual battery, charged with misdemeanor for lying to police during the investigation. Was placed on probation by the university, however was never suspended by Spurs.

Johnnie Church- arrested on a misdemeanor charge of soliciting a prostitute (could never find any suspension for this)… Arrested on battery domestic violence charges when he grabbed his wife by the neck and threw her around the bedroom, which left a bruise on her neck. He was quoted as saying, "It wasn’t any brutal violence. I know it wasn’t anything big." Spurrier, in another get tough stance, suspended him for a game.

Ernie Badeaux- Participated in a barroom brawl, in which he broke his hand. While get tough Spurrier only suspended him for one game, the university made it 6 games. He was kicked off the team for an undisclosed violation in 1997. Spurs must have swept a big one under the rug there.

Reidel Anthony- involved in a misdemeanor with Pizzagate. Get tough Spurs gave no suspension.
Derrick Corker- charged with battery domestic violence and criminal mischief involving a disagreement over a game of Monopoly. Corker grabbed his girlfriend by the hair and threw her to the ground.

Tony Davis- arrested on felony sexual battery and aggravated assault charges. He attempted to throw a girl over a 4th floor railing of her dormitory. The next morning he returned, forced his way into her dorm room, and raped her. At the time, he had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. He was also arrested for driving on a suspended license. He eventually left school.

Aubrey Hill- arrested on domestic violence charges
Lito Sheppard- Lito failed a drug test for marijuana. It seems as if failed drug tests disappear when your team could be without both starting corners and your first game is against a pass happy Marshall team. It was rumored, but never proven, that he was with Jabar when he raided the locker room.

Rod Graddy- driver of a get away car after two men robbed a man of a $1200 bracelet. As Timothy Taylor entered the car, he pointed a gun at two men chasing him. When pulled over, Graddy told police Taylor had thrown the gun out the window. Graddy failed two drug tests while at UF.

Gerard Warren- arrested for possession of marijuana…. Taken into custody in handcuffs for his part in the brawl with UM….. you think he missed any game time for the brawl…….NO WAY baby!!!!

Clint Mitchell- has failed several drug tests while at UF, the second one rumored to be for cocaine… also implicated in a sexual battery… after sitting out for most of the season, he made it back only to be suspended for the rest of the year for reasons Spurrier has kept hidden.

Kyle Morris- gambling on college and profession sports, testimony entered said he spent between $300 to $1500 a week gambling, and on more than one occasion included the Gators on his betting slip.
Shane Matthews- implicated in gambling with Morris
Brady Ackerman- implicated in gambling with Morris
G. Mangus- implicated in gambling with Morris.

Tony McCoy- charged with felony counts of sexual battery and aggravated battery
Anthony Mitchell- misdemeanor battery charge
Darren Hambrick/Anthony Riggins- involved in a very violent fight with each other, Hambrick used a broken glass on Riggins face, that ultimately required reconstructive surgery. Both players ended up at the hospital.

Terrence Foy- unknown what his transgressions were. First hit with a one game suspension. Then he was hit with a 5 game suspension. He was then suspended for a the whole year and it was unknown if it was for another violation, or an extension of the 5 game. He left school the following spring. Based on the number of games involved for each one, it appears drugs. However, nothing could be confirmed.

Players known to have been involved with agents are Ike Hilliard, Jevon Kearse, Jacquez Green, Mike Peterson, Reggie McGrew, Johnny Rutledge, Keith Council, Tim Beauchamp, Mo Collins, and Tony George. There have also been a host of other players suspended, but Spurs managed to keep the reasons quiet, such as Nafis Karim, Eugene McCaslin, Travis Caroll, Kavin Walton, Mike Moten, to name a few.

Bryan Savelio – Florida defensive end Bryan Savelio and his wife, Luisa, were involved in a domestic dispute. Luisa Savelio said she slapped her husband after he repeatedly called her derogatory names and he slapped her back. Florida coach Ron Zook said Savelio, who has played in all eight games and started in six, is not suspended and will play Saturday.

Clint Mitchell – During the 2001 season , Mitchell missed the first six games and the final four of the season because of campus and University Athletic Association rules. Mitchell was accused of committing sexual battery against a female UF student in July of 2001. The attack allegedly took place on 06/20/2001 in the early morning hours. Mitchell’s lawyer, Tom Edwards, claims that the incident consisted of consensual sex and the investigation is expected to take about 30 days to be completed. However, the incident appeared to be unrelated to Mitchell’s six-game suspension for the 2001 season. His attorney was quoted in the Gainesville Sun as saying, "That suspension is not a result of these allegations. He has other problems with the university. Those problems are not a result of this allegation." He was suspended for six weeks at the beginning of his sophomore season for violating university policy. Shortly after he was reinstated, he was suspended again for another violation of university policy. Mitchell started in all 12 games he played and was considered UF’s best defensive lineman during the 2002 season. "I want to thank my parents and brother for their support the last several years," Mitchell said. "I would also like to thank coach Ron Zook and coach Red Anderson for their support this past season. I will be forever grateful to them for helping me get back on the field."

Kennard Ellis Jr. – University of Florida defensive end Kennard Ellis Jr. was charged with drug possession after deputies found him smoking marijuana in a car. Ellis was charged late Thursday with a single felony count of possession of marijuana. He was booked, jailed and later released. Deputies spotted Ellis and a friend in a car smoking marijuana after they received a phone call about a domestic disturbance, according to the charging affidavit. Smoke was coming from a partially-open window. When a deputy patted down Ellis, she found 32.2 grams of marijuana in a plastic bag in his front pocket, according to the affidavit. No one answered the phone at Florida ’s sports information office after hours. Ellis has an unlisted phone number in Orlando . Ellis’ arrest was made public the same day Steve Spurrier announced he was resigning as Florida ’s coach.

The UPD report states that there were four illegally parked vehicles near the Springs Complex with several people standing around the vehicles. One of the vehicles allegedly belonged to Mitchell and UPD officers found an open bottle of vodka in the car. Mitchell and Kight are starters for the Gator football team while McGrew is a reserve defensive lineman. It remains to be seen what punishment, if any, is given to the players by Gator football coach Ron Zook.

Sworn complaints will be filed against three University of Florida football players suspected of ripping mirrors off several cars in downtown Gainesville early Sunday morning, police said. 2. Gator great, Marcus "Medicinal Puff" Thomas – a multiple drug test failure, pot and GHB. Gator fans tried to convince us all it was from the same test… then the truth came out, near the end of the season with his dismissal from the team. Moss and Thomas were both drafted by the Broncos. WTF was Shanahan thinking?

3. Baby Momma Slappin Avery Atkins. The alleged victim, Benerah Sanford, told police: She and Atkins argued Saturday on a drive to Atkins’ grandmother’s house. Atkins leaned over and punched her at least 13 times, and pushed her face against the car’s window while he conversed with relatives. Every time Sanford tried to exit the car, Atkins either punched her or stepped on the gas. When the pair finally arrived at Atkins’ home, she ran off and called the police.
Earlier this month, Atkins was found in a car in Daytona Beach with weed, gun and digital scales. To top it off, it was not his car. He had enrolled in UF in January with plans to "fight his way back to the cornerback slot."

4. Brandon James a football player and Brandon Powell who coincidently is the basketball player who sucker punched the Vandy student in the back of the head [link], were found together in Gainesville with…. you guessed it: marijuana in the car during an undercover "buy bust". One felony and one misdemeanor — purchase of a controlled substance and possession of >20 grams of marijuana — suspended indefinitely.

5. WR Riley Cooper smashed a windshield, welcome the perfect gater. And just who is Jasim Alidina? Adlina was the victim of Freshman Riley Cooper’s flailing haymaker through his car window. While Alidina survived the incident, remarkably unscathed, neither Cooper nor the car were as lucky. Cooper was taken to the Morton Plant Hospital.

6. Florida defensive back Dorian Munroe charged with felony for removal of parking boot and placing it in his trunk. This was later ironed out as expected as UF is thin at the corner. One felony — theft of a police metal parking boot from his car

7. At Da Club, Ronnie "The Rifleman" Wilson slaps some guy, then spits on him, then ends it by shooting at him, luckily police actually stepped in one time before he killed that guy. two felonies and one misdemeanor — gun in a parking lot near campus — suspended indefinitely.

8. LB Dusty "Rhodes" Doe, pummels some dude (ala Channing the Chainsaw Crowder) in a Alaucha County vs. Pasco County gang fight (Reds vs. Crips style). Punishment? No suspension from Meyer. Doe to face the (Jaws intro theme) Leadership Committee. one misdemeanor — disorderly conduct for parking garage brawl.

9. The 7-Man shower Self shooting gun incident, Gator players led by Dee Webb, Andre "Bubba" Caldwell and Reggie Lewis had a $60,000 SUV loaded with improperly registered AK’s and other machine guns… and they were all drunk while shooting at apartment windows for fun. Of course initially nobody took the blame and they all said they were in the shower (together) and that the gun must have shot itself… Gators went with the deniable plausibility angle when Dee Webb shot off his arsenal saying he had already declared for the draft, so he was no longer a Gator.

T10. Dallas "Bike Taker" Baker, steals a bike, but when cops questioned him, Dallas said, "heck man, I just thought the bike was ‘abandoned’". The sophomore was issued a sworn complaint from UPD as an officer stopped Baker near Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (which is a great place to take a deuce). Baker said he was late for an appointment and picked up an abandoned bicycle. Misdemeanor!!!

T10. Linebacker Taurean Charles. A UF student said Charles touched her against her will, the sworn complaint issued by the university police department said. Charles allegedly slammed her on the bed and onto a computer desk, picked her up over his head and threw her down on her roommate’s bed, according to the complaint. Charles was later dismissed from the Florida team.

Latest update, two gators were arrested assaulting a deli worker by throwing meat and cups at him after being caught trying to steal potatoe chips. Results pending. They won’t be in a bowl game either unless charges are dropped and covered up.

We must add to this list that free safety Tony Joiner was caught breaking into Watson’s towing company in the middle of the night to steal a car. Gator Matt Patchan shot in the back at a park late at night. No details yet on how it exactly happened. It is interesting a guy was shot in the back and nobody seems to know anything about it and herban is not making a statement. Our investigators are on the job and will get to the bottom of it as soon as possible. Was he shot in the back rounding the outhouse door? Inquiring minds want to know.

Maurice Pouncey friend of Chris “it is good to be Chris Rainey” Rainey finds out it is not so good to be Maurice Pouncey found swilling some nasty Bud Light in his car in Gainesville. This week is different. We just got a whole lotta stuff to get to here; our sporting men and women have been busy. Let’s start with the fun one, for it is always fun for us up in New England Patriots territory when a Miami Dolphin faces justice. This past week, linebacker Channing Crowder got himself cited for careless driving and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage (the latter a second-degree misdemeanor) in Hollywood, Florida, after he crashed his pickup truck in the early morning hours and then took off, leaving his car at the scene. It was a shades-of-Jerramy-Stevens sort of moment, except that Crowder crashed into a tree, not an old folks’ home. Cops recovered his possessions — including a firearm — from the truck, but it was too late at that point to test for drugs or alcohol.

Since the advent of record keeping for criminality in sports began the gators now rank #2 for criminal acts in sports. They came in at #3 last year and after a slow start this year have once again proven they won’t stay down forever.

Seminoles 2008 Prepare For The Terminator

Ronnie Wilson now on hold for the FSU, Alabama and bowl games. Herban Meyer is still refusing to comment on whether or not Ronnie “The Rifleman” Wilson is still part of the team.

Most of us are familiar with the fact that the Rifleman back in April 2007 slapped and spit in the face of one Frank Fuller, a Santa Fe Community College student at the XS night club according to Gainesville Police. Wilson then fled the scene.

Fuller followed Wilson with his cellphone and called the police. When the Rifleman pulled into a parking lot, he exited the vehicle pulled out an AK-47 assault rifle and fired off a round into the air. The Rifleman later explained he wanted Fuller “to know how it felt to be scared.”

Unfortunately bullets of this type can fall from the air and kill people in a city. Wilson was charged with use or display of a concealed weapon during a felony, aggravated assault and simple battery.

Now here is where the fun begins the state attorney’s office reduced the charges to one count of battery and discharging a firearm in public which surprise were both misdemeanors.

Naturally the Rifleman pled no contest to the discharging of a firearm and battery with two years of court supervision and agreed to 100 hours of community service, the forteiting of his assault rifle and undergoing a mental health evaluation.

Well in January of 2008 Wilson was arrested again and charged with possession of marijuana after running a stop sign with 6 grams.

This should have been a violation of his probabtion but enter state attorney “Wild Bill Cervone” once again who failed to notice the rifleman was on probation. What a lucky guy! The charges were swept under the rug and dismissed citing how hard it is to prove possession.

Well it is football 2008 in Gainesville and Herban has welcomed his boy back to the team. Forget the fighting, spitting, slapping, guns and mayhem.

It wasn’t over however as after the Arkansas game back in Gainesville during a party at 3:30 in the morning at the Lexington Crossing Apts, the Rifleman became concerned over a woman. The rifleman hit a man and followed him outside and was in the process of throwing another punch when a woman stepped in the way and proceed to have her wrist broken by the punch. Wilson was after a third victim who offered assistance as we run out of facts on the story line.

As of now Herban has no comment on whether or not Ronnie is on the team. His only comments are no discussion. Ronnie was held out of the Vandy game but we know he will be ready for FSU, Alabama and the bowl games.

The rifleman is like a terminator, no man, no woman, no party and no law can stop him. He is here to do a job and we know what is. Seminoles get ready for the rifleman.

Jacques Rickerson was arrested in Gainesville for choking his girlfriend and putting a pillow case over her head, luckily the neighbors heard her screaming. He is “said to be leaving the team.”

Cam Newtown November 21, 2008. Backup quarterback Cam Newton arrested for stealing a $1700 computer from a fellow student.
A thought regarding the computer would be Cam’s proficiency in regards to computer programming and hacking ability. Secondly was he an intimate friend of gator basketball player Nick Calathes who has caused a stir by running up $600 in computer gambling debts.

Was Cam trying to erase Nick’s tracks or simply going on line to win back the money for a buddy.
Cam maybe more of a good sararitan in this than we think, although threatening a witness would certainly take some of the lustre off.

But then again who knows maybe Cam just needs a computer. You don’t want him at quarterback anyway because when he threw the laptop out of the window he missed the dumpster and the computer was found laying beside it

Taking a look back to 1980 there are recorded instances of steroids and drugs(A strength coach admitted to possession of steroids), ignored drug tests, players attacking other students., off campus arrests, improper benefits, recruiting violations, shootouts, credit card fraud, booster payoffs, shoplifting, drunken driving, burglary, arson, assault and sexual battery, phone fraud and trafficking of women in the football dorms.

During the 1980’s the Canes enrolled and suited up at least one player who had scored a 200 on his verbal SAT, that is about what you get for spelling your name right.

In 1992 Luke’s Club owned by 2 Live Crew rapper and Luther Campbell big Cane supporters were permitting nude dancing, smoking reefer, serving minors, and having a nude dancing fest. It was pretty tame compared to players in Foster dorm watching players have sex with passed out women.

 
There was also the big booster Campbell who threatened to tell all he knew and bring the program down if his main man Ryan Collins did not start at quarterback.

There is an instance of a disturbance on campus involving 40 members of the football team. It took 14 squad cars and police dogs to put it down. 57 players are known to have received illegal pell grants. It was the largest scam ever committed against the Pell grant program. This was most likely the one that broke the camel’s back and resulted in those dreaded words “lack of institutional control.”

James Burgess and Jeremy Taylor ordered to wear electronic bracelets after attacking track star. They were arrested on one count of burglary with battery.

Jammi German attacksed track team captain Maxwell Voce. Butch Davis suspended all three.

German’s accomplices in the alleged attack, linebackers James Burgess and Jeffrey Taylor, were suspended indefinitely, as were guard Ricky Perry. But Perry didn’t pick on another athlete: He allegedly attacked a female friend. And defensive end Derrick Ham was suspended after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend.
Count the ways in which Miami could afford this.

Of course we can’t forget Willie Williams who was brought in as a high-risk recruit with the personal blessing of athletic director had 11 priors charged with possession of marijuana, felony tampering with physical evidence and driving without a license. The high school All-American gained infamy for his long criminal record as a teenager but attained his dreams of signing with da U. and becoming the first convicted felon to receive a college football scholarship.

The linebacker pleaded no contest in 2004 following incidents in Gainesville, Fla., during his recruiting visit to the University of Florida. Williams was facing a felony count of setting off fire extinguishers at his hotel and a misdemeanor battery charge for hugging a woman without consent.

These Canes teams were also well known for their intimidation antics and showmanship, beginning in 1986 when the team showed up for the National Championship wearing army fatigues. Miami players were shown fighting on the field and in the tunnels before games. The stature of games games grew beyond the pale of college football and the contests with Notre Dame became the “Catholics versus convicts” before the Irish simply refused to play the Canes anymore.

The excessive celebration penalty, also was known as the "Hurricane Rule", was instituted because of things Hurricane players would do on the field after scoring or recording a sack. The pelvic thrust, the throat slash and running completely off the field and through the tunnel after TD catch? Yeah, players from the team with the “U” on their helmet did all that and more back in the day

University of Miami: while having a bench clearing brawl with FIU in 2006 and recruiting a player with a criminal record (who committed another crime and was dismissed from the team as a result only had one player arrested in the past several years, redshirt Freshman Robert Marve was arrested midway during the 2007 football season for misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and resisting arrest after reportedly punching a car mirror and fleeing.

Cane great Bryant McKinnie charged with aggravated battery, disorderly conduct and reisisting arrest after striking a bouncer on the back of the head in a Miami nightclub.

Roscoe Parrish arrested for DUI.

The Hurricanes’ star cornerback — whose father is Homestead police chief Al Rolle — was arrested by City of Miami police, according to Miami-Dade Circuit Court records.
Rolle, 22, was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and breach of the peace, and resisting an officer without violence, both misdemeanors.
Rolle also was charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer.

There is one instance where the promised payment from an illegal agent did not show up and a Hurricane player smashed into the agent’s office and put a gun to his head. They expect the check to arrive in Miåmi.

A story in the Miami Herald indicated that during a one year span one out of every seven players on the Miami team had been arrested. Former running back Melvin Bratton a player at da U from 1983 to 1987, was asked what students say about the crime spree at Miami and he said “they are too scared to say anything to us.”

Miami was tops in the FBI poll every year. This is a team devoid of sportsmanship, they have worn camoflage fatigues and jack boots to national championship playoff games. They walked out of a steak dinner with JoePa and the Lions before the game in which they were soundly beaten by the way.

In 1986 Ibis the team mascot pointed a toy machine gun at the opposing team. The team secretary admitted that she supplied marijuanna to players and used it with them before the 1994 Fiesta Bowl.

Dennis Erickson the current coach at Arizona State University even got in on the partying. He was nailed for drunken driving and crazy Ed Orgeron settled after having a bar fight. Players have been known to drink with coaches.

Former athletic director Paul Dee suspended several portions of the drug testing policy. It paled into comparison however with Dee’s two faced coverup during the Warren Sapp fiasco. Of course Dee was on the committee reviewing hurricane conduct during the jimmy Johnson era. This is the institution which proclaimed to be this generation’s Stanford.

Of course we have Michael Irvin now out at ESPN who put his life back together supposedly after being convicted on cocaine charges with topless dancer Angela Beck. We are not really sure of all the details but former Dallas police officer Johnnie Hernandez admitted to paying an undercover police officer to kill Michael Irvin.

Lets just say he was suspended several times from the Dallas Cowboys for substance abuse.

He was working at ESPN on a one-year deal awhile back and drew criticism for suggesting on ESPN Radio that Dallas quarterback Tony Romo’s speed might have resulted by a maternal ancestor mating with a slave.

Then of course we have the now infamous brawl between the Canes and FIU which witnessed players kicking people who were down and beating them with football helmets resulting in 31 players suspended.

At the height of this the broadcaster former Hurricane Lamar Thomas commented:
“Now, that’s what I’m talking about,” Thomas said as the brawl raged out of control. “You come into our house, you should get your behind kicked. You don’t come into the OB playing that stuff. You’re across the ocean over there. You’re across the city. You can’t come over to our place talking noise like that. You’ll get your butt beat. I was about to go down the elevator to get in that thing.”
