Josh Robbins made this posting after the Bowden Express's latest stop -- this time in Orlando.
As you can see, Bowden was not aware that Cam Wade missed his court date.
This has already been picked up by collegefootballtalk.com and I'm sure it will make the rounds. And you know what? It should.
Obviously there is no news in the fact that Bowden is increasingly out of touch with even major day-to-day developments with the team.
But here is my question: Why doesn't the athletic director do something about this in the short term? I'm not talking about firing him or forcing him out (separate and tired discussion), I'm talking about putting something in place to brief Bowden on day-to-day developments.
Surely it wouldn't be hard to say to Bowden: Look, we're putting together a daily briefing paper and someone will call you every day and deliver this news in less than 3 minutes. If there is no news, you won't get a call.
Ronald Reagan was "handled" by his wife and staffers as old age set in late in his second term -- and that involved a plethora of world events. Here, we're only talking about off-season developments on a college football team -- surely we can figure that out.
Oh, by the way, the blog author mistakenly referred to "Suwanee." What he meant was "Sewanee" -- The University of the South.
Bet you didn't know that Sewanee beat Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Tulane and Ole Miss in a span of SIX DAYS back in 1899.
