questions about next year

I just wanted to know about the kids that didnt make the grade to play at FSU that we recruited this past year.  Also is there any news on who is injured going into this next season like Easterling? I havent been able to keep up as much with work picking up and going to summer school. Is there any word yet about Dvo going to play baseball yet? I also see something that Myron Rolle as a Sr. Does he still count on the roster?

Yo, Des.

I’ll knock out the easy ones for you.

—Looks like D’Vo is headed to the minors. I thought his chances of playing Safety for us next year were minuscule, and that was before he got drafted high this year. The ride was fun while it lasted.

—Myron Rolle is off to Oxford. He’s not returning for his senior year at FSU.

-Regarding those that “didn’t make the grade”…..

-Willie Downs was even close to making the grade. He enrolled in a Pearl River Community College in Mississippi. Making it back to FSU would require a 180-degree turn around in his priorities.
—C.J. Mizell is lacking a test score. He got arrested near his high school campus in the spring, but that’s not the biggest concern. Odds of him enrolling in Fall are slim.

-Injuries-
—Taiwan is running well straight ahead, but not cutting yet. His rehab is apparently going well. Achilles injuries are impossible to forecast, but he’s hoping to make it back by game 1.
—The 3 players that blew ACL’s in August (Gresham, Imeokparia, and Pressley) have all made good progress. Gresham is reportedly the furthest along, but there’s no indication that any of the 3 WON’T be ready by Labor Day.
—Vince Williams tweaked his back and has been held out of certain drills. He’s hoping to go full-throttle again in August if things keep improving.
—Thacker’s shoulder surgery has put him behind schedule in the weight room, but he’s getting better each day.
—E.J.’s thumb injury is no longer a factor.

That’s all i got for now. Get back to studying!

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
