The New York Knicks purchased the rights to this pick...so Toney is off to the Big Apple. Congrats to Toney and his family. He deserved to be a first round pick.

Beat me to it.

Wow. The two teams I hate most (Knicks and Lakers; Heat fan). But I wish him the best even though he’s going to a terrible situation. Hopefully he can shine.

As a NOLE I am proud of him and thirlled to death he went in the first round. Congrats!

However as a Heat’er like you, I am pissed he went to the Knicks. He just helped improve that miserable, disgusting, and pathetic team (with all due respect and no offense intended to Renegade11).

First Charlie Ward and now Toney. WHY, OH WHY?

hey maybe with another Nole on the Knicks...

the Heat can ask PJ Brown to come back and he can pick up Toney and drop him on his head…

ahhhh the good ole days

Touche'. PJ is a unrestricted FA, so look out Toney.

PJ was set up, his flipping and body slaming of Charlie was an accident, it was Charlie’s fault, PJ was going for the loose ball, Charlie was playing too aggressively, it was a lack of communication, and it was at least 11 years ago, so let it go already. (I will try to come up with some more excuses later on)

Anyway, since we are both Seminoles I know we both wish Toney nothing but the best, even though he is playing for the filthy, repulsive, vile, and putrid Knicks. (Again no dis-respect intended and I say that with all due respect)

(not to highjack the thread) Hansbrough went 13 to the Pacers

pretty high for a white guy. lol. I was surprised at that one.

I'm really surprised Blair hasn't gone yet even this late...

Granted, there were a lot of people concerned about his size (a 6’6 Power Forward) and his knees. He has had ACL repairs on both knees and the repairs did not go so well. So I think with the injury and size concerns, no one wanted to give him guaranteed money. But I am really surprised by all of these international players going, few of whom I have heard much about more than their names.

Congrats Toney

Those Knicks love the Seminoles. Just like our boy Charlie! Good luck Toney!

Wow

It’s almost as bad as a gator board over there. Almost.

Excellent Ball Player.

6’4 205 Guard, Ortg 118, very low turnover rate, plays great defense without fouling. A really really nice addition for the Heat. Beautiful shot. Very athletic player. Lead his time on a nice run through the ACC this year.

Perfect for the magic

They could have broken him in as a back up point guard at first behind Nelson. I think his real future will be at the point if he can handle the ball well enough.

They magic got better. I am glad to see Turkoglu go. He throws the ball away too much. He is talented but not a closer. The wild gazelle drives to the basket at crunch time were unsettling. Carter is much better.

Glad to see Alston packing once again also. He is a good floater shooter but can’t hit a jump shot to save his life and he keeps shooting them too even when he is dead cold.

The tragic traded for a good power forward also. Ryan Anderson is a sharp shooter and can play a little center also if they can’t pick up anybody else. I think Gortat definitely leaves. Getting paid in Euros instead of dollars is going to look a lot better to some players I am afraid in the future.

Phil Jackson is very good at picking up talent rather late even if he is trading it. He knows trade value.

Douglas would have been a great fit in Orlando developing behind Nelson. Not to say he can’t be a shooting guard but he is kind of short.

Very proud

of Toney. He seemed to be very underrated, even coming out of the ACC. Even though the Knicks are one of the most dysfunctional teams in the NBA, Toney should get a solid opportunity to play right away. He kind of falls into that “too small to be a shooting guard, not a good enough ball handeler to play the point” form; however, in the Knicks run and gun style, Toney has a great chance for success. I wish him all the luck in the world. Also a Knicks fan, I’m glad he ended up in New York!!!! I hope he can follow in Charlie Ward’s footsteps and have a nice long and productive career.
