Nole Targets stand out at 7 on 7

This weekend was USF's annual Sling and Shoot 7-on-7 tournament. This tournament is one of the largest in the state and consistently brings in huge talent from all across the state. There is also a lineman camp, so the big guys get love too, not just the skill players. This year over 60 teams and 1,200 players descended on the University of South Florida to show their stuff.

I have heard from multiple sources that Kenny Shaw, the WR from Dr.Phillips High School in Orlando showed exceptional quickness and speed. He was considered one of, if not the best receiver at the event.  He is now on FSU's campus visiting and will be at showtime. FSU is considered his leader.

I also know one person who said that Hillsborough CB Terrence Mitchell played exceptionally well. He is our #2 DB target behind Lamarcus Joyner, but will not be at Seminole Showtime because he says he won't attend any camps. He is also considered an FSU lean.Terrence's team Hillsborough High School won the competition, beating Charlotte High School (Punta Gorda) in the final.

Multiple people told me 2011 RB Mike Bellamy looked especially impressive, with one person saying he was the best player at the tournament (this person was not a CHS alum or coach), however the Tarpons alums and coaches were pleased with his play. Bellamy is on the coaches radar but his favorites have not been stated.

Jeff Luc played for his Treasure Coast team and from everything I've heard impressed.
