What is Seminole Showtime?
Seminole Showtime is Florida State's elite camp for high school recruits. It pairs the Seminole Coaches with former 'Nole greats (including current NFL Pro Bowlers) and they combine to instruct the top high school talent in the nation.
Seminole Showtime features a skills competition that is open to the public in the late afternoon from Doak Campbell Stadium. All Seminole fans should attend as this is the premier camp in the country and recruits like to see FSU fan's supporting their future 'Noles.
What time is the Showtime portion?
It should be around 5pm (other portions are not open to the public and are held indoors).

Who are the Nole NFL'ers?
They are keeping this under warps as to not pimp them out. Come out and see.
Details on the Tailgate!
http://www.tomahawknation.com/2009/7/14/949129/tailgating-for-seminole-showtime
We plan to tailgate the event! And why not? It's a great time to eat and drink with other 'Noles fans and you can really help the team out by showing your support!
We plan to tailgate starting at three O'clock. The location is undetermined as of yet, but it will be close to the stadium. Who knows, might some recruits or their families stop by? If they do, they'll want to see some seriously spirited 'Nole fans.
If you plan on stopping by, RSVP in the link above.
I'll have final details Friday afternoon.
Who do you think might commit? Let us know!

Man I hate living so far away.
I would love to come something like this. Sounds like a lot of fun. You know I see 3 schools on the list I think FSU needs to all over.
Valdosta (Lowndes) GA
Pahokee (FL)
So. Carolina Byrnes
I dont know why there seems to be so many great kids coming out of these schools. They must have some outstanding coaches. About them what kind of Off and Def do they run. Im guessing more od a spread and man coverage. I hope I can make it to some Byrnes games this year. I want to see some of these kids.
Why is the sky blue? Because, God Loves the Infantry
Country boys.
Salt of the earth; strong work ethic. I recall a story on one of our steller DL’s back in the early 90’s who grew up on hard farm work with his dad. These kids usually have their heads on straight and listen to authority.
Good call, Desman.

By gawd, that sounds right...
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.
Elayne Boosler
Ditto
I know how you feel Desman, i would love to see some of these kids myself. I am planning on going to see some byrnes games myself this year. Maybe i will see you there. I would love to see Lattimore in a FSU uniform, if nothing else just to keep him from Clemson. But the kid does look like a horse from what i have seen of him on TV.
Lattimore will not be going to Clemson
Is either us of USC (Cocks) lol.

Current players
Won’t be taking part in the camp, correct?
by CSI Nole on Jul 16, 2009 9:33 AM EDT via mobile reply actions
Godfrey?
sorry about the above post…hit the wrong button…. my question though is why isnt Jeff Godfrey listed as one of the qb’s attending… i thought the whole trio was coming…
by officelinebacker on Jul 16, 2009 10:08 AM EDT reply actions
They were here this week for the Bowden camp, and will return NEXT week for the 7-on-7 FSU camp.
It’s just a scheduling issue. We’ll be seeing plenty of the Trio this month.
by Bud Elliott on Jul 16, 2009 10:10 AM EDT up reply actions
What about that incident regarding the Central Trio
that genron referred to. Can you expand on that?
by ChileanNole on Jul 16, 2009 10:15 AM EDT up reply actions
Wasn't really an incident. Just some confusion, I think it's best for everyone to just let this one sorta go quietly.
I believe both sides understand each other now.
by Bud Elliott on Jul 16, 2009 10:17 AM EDT up reply actions
But it wont hurt our chances with them?
by ChileanNole on Jul 16, 2009 10:21 AM EDT up reply actions
I don't think so.
FSU is not a school that will be strong-armed. Each kid needs to make his decision for himself and decide on the merits.
by Bud Elliott on Jul 16, 2009 10:26 AM EDT up reply actions
Something like this
had to be expected with a group of kids claiming to be a package deal. It just isn’t reasonable to think all three have the same priorities and needs and think the exact same way. Each one has to make the best decision for himself, and if it happens to be the same one, then great.
This is the reason I think they end up @ USF. I think they can “strong-arm” USF into taking them as a package
by Quentin C on Jul 16, 2009 1:20 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
Also, this is y it is a good thing that Gonzalez is coming to showtime. Jimbo gets to scout him in person. If he impresses, we take him and Clements and tell the trio and there “package” dreams thanks but no thanks
by Quentin C on Jul 16, 2009 3:54 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
Meh
I’m not much of a fan of Gonzalez, and I’d rather have Gainer than Clements.
So I’d rather not do that, but to each their own.
Dont get me wrong I haven't heard glowing
reports on Gonzalez either, but I’ll leave that up to Jimbo. I just don’t like these Miami Central guys almost attempting to blackmail schools… “If you want one of us you have to take all three”
by Quentin C on Jul 16, 2009 4:10 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
I can't wait for Showtime!!!
I’m in the car on 75 as we speak. I’ll be in Tally in a couple of hours!
Clements
I thought I heard he was not coming back for Showtime because he has a funeral to attend (teammate who was shot)
Any word on the FSU former players attending yet?
Are they supposed to have another surprise like when Jerry Rice showed up?
Sorry I hit post before I should have
but I know that Ernie Sims is in town as is:
Antone, Fluellen, Weinke, Simmons and Washington….who else can we expect there?
true that
i pray we can get joyners, my birthday is monday and thats all i want, a joyner commitment! haha
telvin smith
just to clarify…. i thought i heard telvin was going to uga this weekend?… im guessing that has changed?
by officelinebacker on Jul 16, 2009 4:22 PM EDT reply actions
well that can only mean good things for us… i hope…. i was getting worried for a while there that he was all uga
by officelinebacker on Jul 16, 2009 4:24 PM EDT reply actions
I'm not an insider, but this is something I heard
UGA may have pulled Telvin’s offer because of a numbers issue, which would obviously put us back in the driver’s seat. I don’t know if its true or not but I damn sure hope so.
i hope thats true too….. that would be a big mistake on their part (in my opinion)
by officelinebacker on Jul 16, 2009 11:59 PM EDT reply actions
Their loss would certainly be our gain, we need 3 LB's
Also wondering about Jeff Luc . . . if Ernie Sims and Derrick Brooks happen to be working the camp . . . you guys think there’s a chance we take the lead? I just have a feeling that SS will really get his attention in a major way considering all the other big name recruits that will be there (most of which have very high interest in FSU) paired with the Pro/ex-Pro LB’s that could be working with him . . .
short answer
If Derrick Brooks is there the answer is a definitive YES. I might even go out on a limb and say its a done deal but I won’t. I honestly don’t know what kind of effect Ernie will have on him, but I do know that if you can have a guy like DB around your program then your LB recruiting will never suffer.
I don't think Luc can be easily influenced
I’m sure he’ll leave SS impressed but don’t think it will be enough to make him an FSU lock/lean. Now if D Brooks became our LB coach or staff, then I would say yes. Keep in mind, Luc will probably attend that other camp on a Friday night, under a couple lights..
by CSI Nole on Jul 17, 2009 9:32 AM EDT via mobile up reply actions
while i agree with you
i have heard some rumors that if luc were to meet/hit it off with brooks that would put us at a serious advantage, but lets be honest any prospect who meets DB should be blown away.
If thats the case
Expect to see D Brooks at SS!!! I’m sure Lucs brother (FSU alum is what I was told) is in his ear as well. All we can do now is hope that DB will be a part of SS tomorrow.
by CSI Nole on Jul 17, 2009 9:59 AM EDT via mobile up reply actions
I have heard that too
And I do not believe it for a second. I think we finish third in this race.
by SWFLNole. on Jul 17, 2009 11:23 AM EDT via mobile up reply actions
FSU has blown away Jeff Luc during this visit. I’ve heard they are far and away the leader right now.
From a reliable source?
I’ve heard his heart is set on UM.
by basbalstr101 on Jul 17, 2009 4:12 PM EDT up reply actions
If he's not at Miami
I think we beat out UF personally.
Cause truenole does the Chop on Saturdays and not the Chomp...
Same reason I believe it…
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.
Elayne Boosler
Exactly, why concede him to UF just because?
There’s also a greater need for LB’s here. He’s working with Derrick Brooks today, his brother is an FSU alum, we have a chance at recruiting some of the best defensive players in the state (which by default because its Florida happen to be the best in the nation as well). The fact that we’re about even with UF (supposedly) on his list, I think we get the nod. Also it was implied in a recent video interview that FSU was his leader right now and he didn’t deny it a single bit. He didn’t confirm it, but it damn sure didn’t deny it at all. The Nole in me has a gut feeling that if Miami isn’t where he ends up, Tally is.

Weather forecast???
60% chance of thunderstorms? Yes, I know what some of you are thinking, there’s a 40% chance it won’t! Hahahaaa

ha I read that wrong
I thought you said Weatherford forecast. That would have been funny.
Why is the sky blue? Because, God Loves the Infantry

Why isn't seminoles.com pushing Seminole Showtime?
It seems like they would want as many fans as possible. I haven’t heard anything about it locally…really only from this site.
Are they allowed to?
That would seem like the NCAA would frown upon. Kids (most of whom haven’t committed) being hyped as the possible future. It just seems to me the NCAA would take issue with it.

Maybe not individuals, but they should be allowed to hype the event
and talk about past greats that are attending etc.
I may be reading too much into it but...
Why do I feel like we’ll get at least 4 commits at SS?
by CSI Nole on Jul 17, 2009 11:47 AM EDT via mobile reply actions
Pahokee players should make SS
Their team was asked to leave the 7-7 event in Oregon today.
Apparently they were being rude and disrespectful to other teams and the officials. No specific details yet.
Not cool...
In other words, a wasted trip to the west coast.

Coley posted "gotta Luv the 772, we're coming STRONG - Stay Tuned!"
The only player on our board in St Lucie /Martin counties is Jeff Luc. I like this…
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.
Elayne Boosler
yea and
STRONG is emphasized…like Luc is very strong haha or a jab at UF coach Charlie Strong. Or I am reading way too much into it
It probably is.
The rumor is that Luc won’t go to UF if Strong isn’t the DC. I’m still not convinced he gets away from UM.
Just wants to beat the Gators
Thats why I mentioned at least 4 commits at SS in a previous post
In a tweet he posted earlier in the day, he mentioned 305 (Miami), 407 (Orlando), 813 (Tampa) and 561 (Palm Beach)!!!
By the way
I think the 813 area code for Tampa is not for C.Green but for T.Mitchell, because he was not supposed to attend showtime and now he is
It's gonna be Dunkley...
As soon as LJ says “OK, I’m in”, he turns and says “Me too…” =)
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.
Elayne Boosler
It’s either going to be a HUGE day for FSU or nothing at all. One commit will snowball into 2, 3, and maybe more.
I'm excited. C'mon Joyner, you got the keys. Start the engine.
My official prediction:
Brandon Willis
Terrence Brooks
Neil Basford
Corey Miller
Christian Green
Possibly:
Lamarcus Joyner
Kenny Shaw
Christian Jones
Just wants to beat the Gators

Derrick Brooks, Chris Weinke, and more to attend Seminole Showtime!
According to ESPN, Louis Nix will be at SS
Now there’s a DT that would be nice to flip…
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.

3PM, outside the stadium on the north side. Should be pretty casual but I'll be out there.
Hope to see everyone there.
Cehk this thread in case of changes. I’ll post it here in the comments.

I wish I'd gotten the T-Shirts pumped out before today so you'd have something to look for
Being overseas slowed the process up quite a bit, but I’m hoping to start a pre-ordering process within 10 days after I get the prototype made and photographed to post here.
ATTN: EVERYONE. THE T-SHIRTS ARE AWESOME.
Get your credit cards ready, because The K-Man has done an excellent job and everyone who reads TN is going to want one, FO’ SHIZZLE.
