Around SBN: 2012 Budweiser Shootout Entry List Released

Bud Thacker

With all of the recent talk about some of our interior defensive lineman, such as: Mincey, McCray, McDaniel, and Dawkins, is Thacker going to see as much time this year? It seems as though many of the other linemen have added weight and taken big strides. We have heard nothing so far on Thacker. I am indifferent on him, because I think so far his bark has been a bit louder than his bite, so I was wondering what you all thought.

At the 40 yard time trials

He didn’t look like he could play DT anywhere in the country, much less a team competing to be in the upper tier of the ACC

Im sorry for waisting a post but this is funny stuff

Budd Thacker CAN believe it’s not butter.
Budd Thacker can divide by zero.
Tim Tebow wears Budd Thacker Pajamas.
Mr. T pities the fool. Budd Thacker rips the fool’s head off.
Offenses don’t run QB sneaks on Budd Thacker, they run QB suicide’s.
On the SAT if you put Budd Thacker for every answer you will score over 8000.
Budd Thacker counted to infinity – twice.

I know these are old Chuck Norris jokes but this is funny.

When Budd cuts an onion...it cries...

LMAO

I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.

The Tallahassee Democrat

online has a report on McCray and speaks of other DL. Thacker only got a passing mention. On the other hand, Stewart is mentioned as being up over 280.

I can't believe Mincey played at such a low weight last year.

His lower body development is holding him back. Maybe he just doesn’t have the genetics.

Stewart

I had class with Kendrick last year and sat a couple seats down from him everyday (he is a good guy), while the Democrat may report him as being 280+ I honestly can’t picture him at that weight. What always amazed me was how productive he was at this level given his size. He was not big and didn’t seem like he could carry 280 or more. I hope his speed hasn’t diminished and he has put on good weight.

I hit "enter" too fast on that reply.

Although we need 300 lb. big boyz, that just ain’t gonna happen with Kendrick and his frame. No 300+ plus pounder maintains his flexibility on that frame, and I like him being able to do tumbling routines after big wins.
I’d rather have a 22-23 year old senior at 275lbs., who knows the system, has mastered Odell’s technique class for 5 years, with old man strength and nothing to lose, than an 18-19 year old with more weight and no seasoning…..short term, of course.
As they say in NASCAR, “You run whatcha brung”. And we’re bringing Stewart.

Stewart

Is an amazing athlete. Played basketball against him in the leach a few times. He’s extremely quick and strong but I definitely can’t imagine him being that large (then again I haven’t seen him since April so I could easily be wrong). PJV, i’m also worried that if he’s that big it might hurt his other attributes. But the coaches seem to be enthusiastic about it so I guess we’ll see how well he does.
