New to Tomahawk Nation
I'm new to the whole blogging thing but after a couple of weeks of reading the FanPosts I'm impressed. I'm glad to see there are more DIE-HARD fans of Florida state athletics then just me. I'm just about to come unglued waiting for this football season to start. There are a few areas that I'm unsure about concerning the future of our football team...
- News on QB Will Secord? How does he look? Are the coaches impressed?
- What are the odds of Rodney Hudson returning for his Senior season?
- Why isn't Chuck paving the streets that Jeff Luc walks on with gold?? The kid is a BEAST!
- Although I have much respect for Mickey Andrews who are some prime contenders for the DC position when he leaves?
Thanks Nole fans

Bienvenidos, Senor.
I’ll take a crack at a few of your questions:
- What are the odds of Rodney Hudson returning for his Senior season?
-In my opinion, the odds are very good. Have we ever had any non-tackle offensive lineman leave early for the draft? I don’t have the statistics in front of me, but I don’t think non-tackles typically leave after their Junior years. And with his size, Rodney isn’t going to play tackle on Sundays.
* Why isn’t Chuck paving the streets that Jeff Luc walks on with gold?? The kid is a BEAST!
—Chuck ran out of paving supplies a long time ago. It’s one of those annoying, frustrating portions of your morning commute where lanes of a crucial city artery are blockedoff with blinking barricades and triangular orange signs that read, “LANE CLOSURES AHEAD: ROAD CONSTRUCTION”. However, the cement truck is gathering dust and there’s no workers in site. The barricades are keeping out other competent recruiters, unfortunately.
And Chuck probably doesn’t want any more players with chest girths that rival his.

Welcome welcome!
Hudson won’t leave early, as K-man stated, due to his size. Many project that his NFL future lies at center, and I believe Trickett has cross-trained him very well. You may see Hudson slide over to center depending on how the other guards/tackles develop. Rest assured that Trickett will play the top 5 OL no matter who they are.
I don’t think it matters what Chuck Amato says to Luc because Chuck won’t be around next year. Hopefully Coley is all over him and is telling him who Fisher is looking at to replace Andrews. I think Buckley has a great shot at coaching DBs and Haggins will be the only hold-over from the defensive staff, and that’s only if he wants to remain DL coach. Personally, I’d love to see Fisher bring in either Jon Tenuta from ND or Greg Hudson from ECU.

I haven't heard anything on Secord, but realistically he is 3 years away from a serious shot a the job.
He has some talent and is coachable, but needs some work. Redshirt, Bench, Bench, possibly with a look at the job in 2012 if EJ leaves early. If not, he’s probably a one year starter in 2013 as a redshirt senior, which is just fine by me.
I agree with the above posters on Hudson, and Amato.
I definitely do not want Tenuta and am undecided on Hudson.
You still want to try to get a 3-4 guy in here or
will jimbo stick with the 4-3. God I hope not.

Good to have you PCnole08.
I recommended K-Man’s comments because he answered 2 of your questions very well and your other 2 questions are covered by the other respondents.
I just wanted to add that judging from your screen name you may be a new generation NOLE and possibly you may not understand the animosity that exist, at least from a couple of us, towards Chuck (CTC=Chuck the Chest or Chuck the Clown, take your pick).
If I am correct in this assumption, I encourage you go to "search post and comments" at the top right of the home page, type in Chuck Amato, and you can spend the better part of the day learning why some of us are so frustrated with CTC.
If you read the stories, fanposts, fanshots, and comments about CTC, you may better understand why some of us consider him a waste of a coaching position, money, and time, that a coach with real interest in helping FSU regain our former elite status, one who would be contributing member of the coaching staff, at least do some recruiting, and at the same time coach the linebackers, would be doing if in the same position. This is after all, what I imagine is the minimum requirements in the job description of the LB’s positions coaches, not to mention that of the Associated Head Coach, which is another worthless title on CTC’s resume. He should be contributing to the program, instead of doing as little as possible, punching out at 5PM, running out the door, as well as adding instability to a already dysfunctional coaching staff.
If I am wrong and incorrect in my assumptions of your knowledge of CTC, my sincerest apologies, but nevertheless, welcome aboard.

PCnole08 is just a name
I Graduated High school in 2008 and i am from panama city, but i have been following FSU since i was young. But yes i will take your advice and make sure and read up on all of the abbreviations.
I kinda figured you were one of the newer generation NOLES from your screen name and once again-welcome.
This suggested reading was only recommended to let you know where some of the, how can I say this delicately, " UNHAPINNESS", with CTC comes from. It should be considered pleasure reading (though it may be painful at times) and you are obviously smart enough to make your own determination one way or another. We are all NOLES and I just want what is best for our team to return to national relevance.

I love the Chuck the clown much better.
Also I think there is still a website firechuck.com from when he was at NCST. I cant remember what it was maybe FSUn still has it.
