CJ!

still optomistic, try and talk me off it

by SWFLNole. on Jul 9, 2009 7:35 PM EDT reply actions

because he’s not officially nonqualified yet, he can practice. he’s just not taking summer classes so my guess is that he hasn’t had to turn in all of his stuff yet.

Gotcha

Seeing him practice is a good sign.

by CSI Nole on Jul 9, 2009 8:18 PM EDT up reply actions

Our new compliance office has that under control I am sure

just be happy he is here and focusing on what is important.

by SWFLNole. on Jul 9, 2009 8:20 PM EDT up reply actions

I hope he can stay focused while on his down time.

I hate it when I see someone with some much and they throw it all away on something stupied. I hope he finds a good crowd to get with that can help him stay out of trouble.

Not optimistic on CJ

On the other hand Lo Wood of Apopka, Florida just pulled a passing test score and and will be showing up in Michigan. He is only 5-9 but is a flash who played quarterback but will move to receiver at Michigan.

I can definitely see why FSU did not go after him. Even though talented we are way past the point of taking 5-9 receivers who may have trouble qualifying.

Why aren't you optimistic? weren't some of his grades or GPA actually better than expected?

I think it is a good sign he is there. He is already bonding with the guys, and I think he’ll want to be there.

You know I could see us going after a key player like LB and Oline or even a kicker

but WR and CB/S are a dime a dosen in Fl. We can find one that is taller and faster with better hands. Im not saying he isnt but we have enough problems already hanging from last year.

CJ

Did anyone catch what WC had to say about CJ practicing with the team?

by noles 4 life u dig? on Jul 10, 2009 2:43 PM EDT reply actions

really?....

I guess I was hoping the WC article had some more depth on his current situation. Maybe, how the stories about how he couldn’t qualify and he’s attending Hargrave was all made up. I know I’m fishing… and maybe drank to much kool-aid this morning but it didn’t hurt to ask…..

by noles 4 life u dig? on Jul 10, 2009 3:53 PM EDT up reply actions

as of right now he can't practice in the fall

the day WC repeals anything they say/make up is going to be a cold one in hell.

Things may be looking better than I thought!!

I just talked to somone on the team. Due to certain rules in place I will not release this individuals name yet. I asked him a question we hear on other sites but I wanted to know for myself. The Noles of the OLD days used to actually care for one another and it showed. My question to him was: “How does the team get along with eachother?” He told me that EVERYONE is ready to win games and represent FSU. He told me that all the Upperclassmen have been VERY helpful and YES the guys are getting along with one another.
Lets hope that the bonds and friendships made will show on and off the field. When you get guys that have love for one another it becomes about a bigger Goal. Not just using FSU as a Pro-Factory. Looks like we have a group of guys that really love FSU!!! Thats Great NEWS!!!!

Don't throw stones at me for this

But I really believe all the trouble our Receiving corps went through together creates a strong bond between them. They’ve got a lot of love for each other and stick together through tough times. Sometimes that type of adversity helps.

Agreed...

Anytime you go through a BRAWL like that your bound to get closer…. hehe i know what ya mean and i think thats prob tru. maybe they can slap sum sense into Cam Wade. I dont care about winning every game this year. hell i dont expect it. But i do want a team that will back eachother up. and it looks like were gettin back to that

HAHA

Since he likes to HIT people maybe they can teach him how to block and throw him in the for the bubble screen. Bert catches it and Wade can knoch people out…

or maybe he'll get busted for his off the field tendancies

when no other football players are around and we will have no choice but to release him from scholarship.

by SWFLNole. on Jul 10, 2009 4:06 PM EDT up reply actions

I think its a double edges sword

on one hand yes they become closer. But there has to be a line where someone says stand up for what is right and to back down because of some stupied drama. I dont agree with the Brawl at all. I wasnt there and I dont know why it happened. But with things like that someone needs to have the guts to step in the middle or better before something like that happens and say this is or you not the team. One team Our team. Leave everything on the field.

Ive become friends with someone on the team, im askin some questions but not gettin too deep yet. building a relationshio with him. and i just wanna make sure when i do post new info i do it in a manner that will not get him in any trouble. and if its something i do not feel comfortable posting i will pass it on to someone that can put it into better wording for all to read.
