In this article, there is a summary of the offense’s and defense’s performance against “scout teams.” What is a scout team? Who plays on it? Is it the 2’nd string O and D? Or is it non-FSU players?
Scout team
It’s a mixture of red shirt players and low depth chart players. Instead of running the plays the Noles run on gameday, the scout team mimics the play calling of the upcoming opponent so the guys who will play in the game know what to look for.
