Lost in the sause

OK so in the Noles Pick'em you have the 2 teams and the spread of points. I pick the right team to win but some dont cover the points. Is there a way to pick a team but not have them cover the spread. I never undersood how this all works. I know Im not doing that bad because Im ranked #6 in the polls but I want to win.

Am is to take the other team then. thats what I dont understand. I thought I have to take one or the other to cover the spread is there a way to take a team and say they are not going to make the spread.

No. Do what I do.

Pick the ones you’re really sure of (the ones you’d bet in real life), then base the rest off biases, superstitions, and who you want to win regardless of the reality of the match-up. Umm… don’t expect to be better than 39th though. On second thought, stick with what you’re doing.

ha ha ha on the ones I cant pick I have my wife guesses.

She goes by is the team from NC, the uniforms, and if she has ever heard of the school( shes from NC so it better have a good B-ball team) then I pick the opposit team from her.

Just some rudimentary explanations here

I’ll use the FSU/USF game from this week to illustrate:

FSU is favoured by 14.5 points (as of this writing)

If you think FSU will win by >14.5 points, pick FSU.

If you think FSU will win by <14.5 points, pick USF.

If you think USF will win outright, pick USF.

Hope this helps.

I only picked 2 games last week (GT/UM and FSU/BYU) because

I planned to go back on Fri or Sat and finish picking. When I finally remembered, it was a little after 12 noon on Saturday, I was locked out, and the system defaulted to all the home teams as my picks.

I wound up 20-21 for the week, and if I had picked UM over GT I would have been over .500.

What’s my point?

I don’t have one, just something I found interesting that I wound up at nearly .500 with the computer picking all the home teams for me.
