First and foremost, glad to hear that Tebow is doing better. Depending on who you ask, Tebow will either go down as one of the best players to play the collegiate game or one of the biggest douche bags to ever play the game. Based solely on his constant taunting of the opposing fans while on the sideline, my opinion will lean towards the latter. Either way, the guy's done way more good than bad and it wouldn't be right of me to wish ill will on someone simply for showing a lack of judgment by attending UF.
Urban Meyer on the other hand, is without a doubt, a douche and a buffoon. The only reason that Tebow was even in the game at the time he was injured was because of Meyer's ego and his feud with Lane Kiffin. Allow me to point out some facts:
1) Tebow had to fly to the game on a separate charter plane due to sickness; a respiratory illness.
2) UF has a young QB who will be taking over next year and could use some reps.
3) The Gators haven't lost to Kentucky since 1986. That's a 22 game win streak
4) In response to Meyer indicating after the UT game that some of his players played sick, Lane Kiffin stated, "I guess we'll wait, and after we're not excited about a performance, we'll tell you everybody was sick.”
So with the game already in the books, the near sighted, egotistical Meyer was keeping his very ill star QB in the game for what? My guess is that it was because of item #4.
