Post Questions for Boston College Experts by 7 Eastern Tonight
Analysis of Saturday is forthcoming, just being careful not to be too low after a loss nor too high after a win. Checking on some things with some folks in our search for answers and possible solutions. I don't want to post stuff that's off the cuff and have to correct myself just a few hours later. You'll be sick of USF after Wednesday, but for now think of what you would like to know about Boston College. They beat Wake Forest in overtime last weekend. Game can be seen on ESPN360.com if you want a head start on them.

How much of a drop off is there on the defensive side of the ball as a whole?
How do you feel the seemingly brand new front 7 has held up thus far and will hold up as the season progresses?
Is the mercurial quarterback by the name of Crane back to beat us with the read option?

Trenches
Last year the Seminoles were dominated in both trenches by BC. Will it be more of the same this year? We were dominated by USF there, that’s for sure
Coaching changes
Several years ago we saw some major overhauls on our coaching staff. We may be coming up on some more coaching changes after this season. Because of the coaching changes, I think it’s relevant to ask some opponents how they (fans and team) are dealing with similar circumstances.
When you answer this, we understand the context: you have suffered huge losses next to last year’s team due both to the NFL draft and some very unfortunate off field circumstances. If anyone in D-1 football is seeing a rebuilding/down year, it’s you.
So… Jags left and Spazani took over. Hard times aside, what is Spazani doing differently than Jags so far,
1) that you (as fans) like
2) that you dislike, and
3) how is the team responding?
A little bit of defense and offense
First off I’ve been pretty impressed with BC’s defense this year. Who in your mind has been standing out in terms of the defense side of the ball?
Secondly which quarterback will start this weekend Tuggle or Shinskie or is BC going to stick with the platoon system it has been using all year so far?
As a Falcon fan, my only bright spot for years was watching Jessie Tuggle blow up people on defense...
How’s his son doing under center?
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.
Elayne Boosler
How is Mark Herzlich doing? What are the realistic expecations that he will ever see the field again?

DT's
I know it would be hard to match the level of play of the guys that were there last year, but how have the new guys been doing as starters so far?
Not an alcoholic, just an FSU grad.
Defensive Scheme
How will Ponder Mobility or lack there of, affect there game planning?
What do they see in our defense that they can exploit, and vice versa?
Trade
Would Boston College agree to the following pregame wager:
If FSU wins we get Spazani as our new DC starting in Dec. 09.
If FSU looses BC gets Bowden, Andrews, Allen, and Amoto, and a possible AD to be named later starting after the game.
Its a possible 5 for 1 for them and a win/win for us, how could they not?
BC Defense
What main scheme do you expect BC to run against FSU’s 3WR look? USF gave us the underneath hooks and out-routes while sitting in a cover 3. I can’t help but wonder if the MO against us is: 8 in the box to account for the zone blocking, cover 3 with remaining defenders, nothing deep (give up routes < 12 yards all day).
They have done some 3-5-3 stuff in the past, which I will e-mail out to the group and we an setup the preview
If they cove-3 with 8 in the box I will be happy. Ponder throws that 8 yard curl very well and we run it well.
Nonfootball
I’m going to Boston for the first time ever this weekend. A bunch of friends and I have rented some hotel rooms and hope to really enjoy the city (and a win). What are somethings I need to check out while in Boston? *Keep in mind I am a 23 yr old with a college student’s mentality, even though I am technically a “young professional” (yeah right). Thanks!
