FIrst I'll get the positives out of the way
1. Ponder played miles ahead of where he was at any point last season. I honestly think he had one of the best performances we've seen from any FSU QB since Weinke left.
2. Greg Reid is a beast, simple.
That being said, Ponder's fumble when it was 23-17 was the turning point in this ball game. He doesn't fumble, FSU most likely puts the game away at 30-17. That was a 14 point swing.
However, the bigger picture is that FSU's secondary is horrible. I'm trying to stay objective, but I can't think of another word to use. I can't remember that last time I've seen a team's wide receivers just so completely torch opposing defensive backs unless that school had a direction in it's name. Miami might as well have been playing Florida Southern, not Florida State.
The fact that seemingly no adjustments were made all night is absolutely ridicolous. Mickey, I realize you've given a lot to this University, but just like Bowden, time has passed you by. I don't even want to think about the Georgia Tech or UF games at this point.
