Around SBN: Off Tackle Empire interviews Rich Rodriguez

Fisher won the ACC Offensive Coordinator of the Year Award last season. Recently, Chris of SmartFootball.com broke down one of Fisher's passing plays. Excellent article, please do check it out.

Bingo Vic

I have often said if Fisher says Ponder will play in the NFL I am riding that train.

A little off topic, but

did anyone else notice that we were doing some prowler package type things? My buddy pointed out that there were a couple plays where we had 1 or 2 down lineman (Everett dawkins was the Interior DL in a couple of them) while the rest were in coverage. It just didn’t have the LBs roaming the midfield pre-snap

We're lucky to have Fisher as our OC

Can you imagine the Jeff Bowden offense matched with the current FSU defense? It’d be Notre Dame 2007 and we’d be the laughing stock of the country.

Thank you Jimbo for being here.

Good article. Thanks for posting.

I'm not going to pretend I have a learned opinion on running backs

but i think, to me, ty’s biggest hold-up is lack of confidence in his running.

At least, that’s what I see

Stiff Hips

While better at “squaring up” than Thomas is, there is nothing swan-like about his movements… His change of directions are like that of a bull

oh i ddnt mean to come off as knocking ty

i just like him in the role hes in originally, that back-up 3rd downish type back.
i just meant i rather have him in that compacity whereas a starter type.
my only knock on him as a starter would be his fumbling, albiet none in the labor day game, he did have one carry where a good defender could have easily ripped it out, and in the spring game im pretty sure had atleast 2.
but he played well in the labor day game, good vision, nice burst, even at his smaller weight had a lil jones-drewish type running style, but thats best complemented with a speedier back, i.e a heathly Jermaine Thomas.
