Some positive news for a change. Sounds to me like Cllint is a winner. Playing football would be one thing. But that wasn't really Clint's desire. He wanted to work on fundamentals. He would watch his father, Rick, run players through grueling practices at Auburn, West Virginia and other schools, and he would bring those same drills to his backyard. "I always wanted to be at my dad's practices," Clint said. "Whatever I saw them do, I just tried to go home and do." And when he was feeling extra adventurous, he would try to get his friends to take on his tackling dummy — a gift to Clint from one of his father's coaching buddies, Tommy Bowden. "They never really liked that," Clint said with a laugh. "They just wanted to go inside and play video games."
