+1, as they say.
The more I look at that picture, the more I realize that I still can’t believe what I saw in the stands that day. I was on the 50 yard line, 30 rows up from the FSU sideline. Not “right there,” but pretty durn close. I saw EJ throw the pass, and timing the pass in my mind, I saw that it was “just a little bit” high. I saw Fortson jump for it. I saw him do what I can simply describe as “levitate in space for a moment.” I saw the catch. I saw it with one hand on the ball. I saw it with two eyes, wide open in disbelief. I saw it again in my mind’s eye. And my first statement to myself was more of a question.
“That was… Fortson?”
I flashed back to the Miami game where he had three chances to score a winning touchdown. Perhaps not all his fault, but it would have been nice if he caught one of them. Dude couldn’t have caught a cold, I thought at the time. But on this day… On this day of all days, he played with inspiration. He played with ability. He played with flat out STYLE.
Yes, freshcollegeboy, this pic does, in fact, kick ass.
I bleed Garnet and piss Gold.
Fantastic shots
The Fortson catch looks amazing
Outstanding work.
That’s one hell of a photographer.

Brilliant pic of Fortson's catch!!
Wohoo, another Gator Bowl post (sorry, not much of a recruitnik)!
Josh is obviously a great photographer since he was able to take a great shot of a play … and still get Mangum in the shot. He’s usually so blurry in the background – or on the ground. ;-)
Great pics all, thanks for sharing.
Guess what my new wallpaper pic is gonna be???

I would love to find one of...
Fortson, at least I think I remember it being Fortson, of that OTHER rather remarkable catch of the game. The jump-leap-hover-onehand was surely awesome. But there was another one where he cut back towards EJ as he threw, and the pass was low. Fortson (again, thinking it was him) dropped to his knees and started to fall forward. But instead of falling flat, he once again “hovered” for a second and fit the ball right into his hands for a first down.
I really do think that was Fortson… but I don’t know…

Check out the wide angle FSU shot — two WVU fans in the top right corner are having a WTF burger.

The picture of Fortson is amazing and the shot of P.Rob and Mangum says it all, doesn’t it. Bye bye #22.

I have to imagine that
Jarmon would want a copy of that picture, truly amazing catch and incredible timing on the photo.
Thanks Josh.
Fortson is a good ball player
Regardless of what happened against us. Of course, I haven’t seen as much FSU football as y’all, but he seems to be the reciever y’all have.
Congrats on the win. At least SOMEBODY showed up.

Hey guy, glad you still visit us every now and then. Thanks for the kind words and I am at a loss as to what happened to your team. I expected a UM rout. Take care.

They just outmuscled us.
Thank God we are focusing on the O line this recruiting season. Good job snatching Elam from the Gators. I really want y’all to give them a beatdown the next few years. Unfortunately, I think it won’t be against Meyer. I really feel like “his doctors will advise him” to step down after signing day.
