Nick Waisome, a cornerback from South Lake High School in Groveland, Fla., has switched his commitment from the Gators to the Seminoles. Waisome is the top cornerback in Florida, a member of the ESPNU 150, widely considered one of the five best cornerbacks in the country, and a four-star prospct by all three major recruiting services. He was an expected early-enrollee with the Gators and will now start classes in Tallahassee in a few short weeks.
Waisome is 5'10" tall and weighs about 170 lbs. He is considered a pure corner with excellent feet and hips, and he is not a hybrid defensive back.
Credit to Noles247 for the story:
"I just got off the phone with coach Fisher, and I'm committed to FSU," said Waisome.
"My parents and I just sat down and analyzed both visits and came the decision."
Wasiome originally committed to the Gators on national TV, but has suddenly had a change of heart.
"We just sat down and spoke about the visits. (With FSU) We had all our questions answered and with the uncertainty with the Florida coaches, we just decided FSU is where it's at."
This is Florida State's 20th high school commitment and 22nd overall. FSU is strongly in contention to land the best recruiting class in the country, and Jimbo Fisher will certainly bring the best class to Tallahassee in over a decade.
