Who will FSU play in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl (Peach)?

Florida State is locked in to the Peach bowl. The 'Noles will face either South Carolina or Mississippi State. It is believed that an SEC rule mandates that the conference-runner up drop no lower than the 5th selection (Chick-Fil-A). South Carolina is that runner up. South Carolina was expected to be snapped up by the Outback bowl, but the Outback bowl has a poor relationship with the Gamecocks and will likely elect to take the Florida Gators. That means unless South Carolina, the SEC, and the Chick-Fil-A bowl work out a deal allowing the bowl to bypass the Gamecocks, FSU will play South Carolina. But there is good reason to expect that an exception can be made, permitting South Carolina to instead play in the Gator bowl. For one, Mississippi State has already pre-sold 20,000 Chick-Fil-A bowl tickets and the SEC and Chick-Fil-A bowl both want State. Second, South Carolina just played the SEC championship in Atlanta and bowl officials/ Atlanta doesn't want the same team in back-to-back games. If this doesn't work out it is because the SEC doesn't want to set this precedent. Let's hope the SEC uses some common sense here and sends USCe to the Gator, Mississippi State to the Peach, and Tennessee to the Music City.
