Welcome to the recruiting discussion thread. Please refer to the Recruiting Board for information on prospects. We are asking readers comment here instead of the recruiting board so that the recruiting board will load quicker. Feel free to talk recruiting news, rumor, information, etc. Amateurs and experts are all welcome. No question is too simple. Have a projected class? That's fine as well.

FAQ:
1. What's up with Tony Steward?
This is a Clemson-FSU battle. Clemson is in desperate need of linebackers because its current crop lacks both quality and numbers. Plus, Steward's idol is Ernie Sims, who was coached by Clemson LB coach Kevin Steele. Despite this, we are confident in FSU's position with him. While we are mindful that Clemson can promise him an immediate starting job playing for Ernie Sims' former coach while FSU cannot (FSU is loaded with linebacker talent), we think FSU is in good position at the present time and that FSU's position will only improve from here. It will really depend on whether the kid prefers immediate playing time or the better program.
2. How many recruits does Florida State take in its 2011 recruiting class?
Bud Elliot believes that the numbers should reach 25-28. Don't expect Florida State to oversign weak talent, e.g. the 2010 Miami recruiting class. Florida State does not need to reach 25, but it's fairly certain that Florida State won't deny high talent that wants to commit.
3. Any new news on Tim Jernigan?
The door seems to have slightly cracked open. It is believe that Tim has been hurt by the fact that the Gators have had such a poor season. He saw Florida State whoop Florida live, not to mention the other four losses the Gators have suffered this year. Also with the recent loss of Florida DL coach Dan McCarney, Tim Jernigan is no longer the lock to Florida as once thought. Still, Florida has the lead here. We'll update as this goes along.
4. Where is Kelvin Benjamin headed?
This is a UF-FSU battle like Tim Jernigan. Unlike Tim though, it seems as though the long time Gator lean is now a Nole lean. He had a great, extended visit over Thanksgiving break. Kelvin spent time with former High School teammate Greg Dent. No word yet on when or where he will commit, but Florida State should be the driver seat after the win vs. the Gators.
5. When have some recruit's visited FSU?

North Carolina (11/06/10):

Florida (11/27/10): (credit: TexasNole) Juco: Jacob Fahrenkrug, Matt Williams. 2011: Aaron Lynch, Jordan Prestwood, Timmy Jernigan, James Wilder Jr, Karlos Williams, Nick O’Leary, Tony Steward. 2012: Dante Fowler Jr, Bennie Coney, Mario Pender
5. Is Jadaveon Clowney considering FSU?
No. He is taking a visit and it is an honor for FSU to host the best recruit in years, but nobody we trust believes FSU is seriously in the picture.
6. But....
No.
7. Which recruits have qualifying issues?
It was initially thought that Arrington Jenkins and Devonta Freeman would not qualify, but they should be in if they maintain their current academic pace.
8. Who do we expect to sign next?
Jacob Fahrenkrug and Tank Carradine should sign Wednesday. Kelvin Benjamin should commit Thursday. We think Benjamin and Carradine are Noles. Unsure on Fahrenkrug.
