I think the whole hat idea is dumb.
How about a player be original and light a spear and plant it to the ground to commit to us next year?
Demar Dorsey
clips on ESPN. Going to Mich because of PT—lack of speed/talent on D side

Dorsey probably made a good move for himself by getting out of state and being with his cousin
Never heard of a recruit getting so much hate. Then folks being hypocrites saying they didn’t want him. I wanted Deering more, though Demar would’ve been nice

If you weren’t wanting every recruit in the top 10 to go to FSU, you would be crazy.
Yeah but people pull that "But we didn't really want him anyway" BS

Deas would be a nice surprise come May, and should be plenty motivated after seeing our misses today. My thoughts on Deas is still “no news is bad news”

Pathetic
Some UGA fan started a twitter account just to hurl insults at Da’rick Rogers who switched to Tennessee.
I hope no Nole fans are doing anything like that to Dorsey, etc.
Another brave anonymous Twit, huh?
They’re everywhere.
Well if we have 25 or less that is great news for the 2011 class(which btw is suppose to be the best group in a decade)
GO NOLES!!! SCALP EM!

by FtLauderdaleNole on Feb 3, 2010 3:07 PM EST up reply actions
30 I think
we were going to take 29
29-24 = 5 + 25 for next year.
If there is some attrition or something, maybe more depending on the number of EEs.
We have a pretty good class
we don’t need to reach for anyone
by westcoastnolefan on Feb 3, 2010 3:07 PM EST reply actions
know what's retarded about Dorsey going to Michigan?
Michigan doesn’t have a true safety (free safety). Their safeties creep up to LB and double as LBs. Dorsey is too small to do that. So either they change their D scheme or he doesn’t play safety.
Nothing can stop us....
maybe that is why they wanted him
So they can change their defensive scheme. Robinson just came in as their DC last year and maybe had to work around what he had. Their defense needs improvement so he might have told RR that he wanted more speedy guys.
maybe,
but regardless a new D scheme for players to learn on an already terrible D is risky. If RR doesn’t win 6 games, he’s fired. (Actually, I heard that if Michigan loses to Notre Dame, RR’s fired.)
Nothing can stop us....
Do you realize that this is exactly what is going to happen at FSU
2010 AD = 1 AB for FSU
Exactly.
Which is why I think we missed on some defensive guys who probably wanted something a little more concrete.
by Randall W. Spetman on Feb 3, 2010 3:23 PM EST up reply actions
Jimbo's in year 1; RR's in year 3.
Give Jimbo’s D 3 years and I guarantee we’ll be better off that Michigan’s D—especially if they change their scheme this year.
Nothing can stop us....
I agree...

As a Syracuse graduate
(from a family of Noles…)
Robinson is the worst coach in Division I. Period. I have no clue why any defensive player would want to consider playing for him. But good luck to Dorsey, he seems talented enough to succeed despite Robinson’s ineptness.
i think we already have had surprises
and thats why we are at 22
Urbie Recruiting
Started to think about this when Jimbo was still coach in waiting and could continue to recruit while other head coaches were only allowed a certain number of visits, etc.. Well with Urbie’s taking a leave of absence, did that allow him to skirt many of the recruiting constraints? I don’t know and jsut curious of what the NCAA rules would be in that situation. Could a coach on a leave of absense even recruit?
no he was still coach just on a leave of ab.
Thank God for the men and women who stand tall in the night to protect this great country we love so much
I looked this up....
… and was about to post something about it, but saw that urbie’s “leave of absence” would not officially start until after NSD. Someone should do a timeline of what UF and Urban were saying about him being on indefinite leave and the recruitment of Elam. I think the official position of UF was that he was on leave of absence, but he was still making calls to Elam.
whatever he did...worked
In spite of their recent success… I NEVER would have guessed that UF would have had almost no attrition. DAMMIT!!! On Dec 26…I really expected us to steal a couple guys from them by NSD. Even after he changed his mind. Got to give him credit. UF is a solid program now and sells itself…unlike a decade ago.
change in defensive staff did not even seem to hurt them
If they were able to bring in all those new coaches late and still keep so many defensive recruits it says something about either Meyer or that program. It sucks, but it is true.
Luc signed before Meyer flipped out.
Dorsey left them but he’s somewhat of an “issue”.
and that's what great coaching..
will do for winning NC’s!
Yep...
throw that in…and I don’t know what to say. It’s an absolutely incredible class. I pray to God that it doesn’t pan out like I expect it to. Hopefully we can do something similar in ’11.
look on the big board
Thank God for the men and women who stand tall in the night to protect this great country we love so much
how about just backing off?
A lot of people are trying to read this and get info and don’t need to be reading about guys who already sent in LOI to other schools.

tired of the lame excuses. Is it not possible OU was just better? We only played two good teams that year (before the NC), lost to one and the other was a 3 loss UF. You know what excuses are like right?
we went from a 40+ pt avg to 2pts
yes, its been long over and done with but the game plan for that NC sucked!
Not to mention that gave OU the credibility they needed to appear in and lose...
a couple other NC games afterwards. Richt is responsible for the ascension of the Big 12 to respectability, from its former status as the Big 8 cupcake league.
I think if he qualifies it won't be until the summer or fall semesters.
Which may be too late for him to get in a conditioning program and contribute, imo.
at first glance it seems UF too young
to bring in a lot of recruits next year. Could be wrong.
