Official Florida State Spring Football Guide
Lots of fluff and some inconsistencies, but a good first look from the University Office. They list Dawkins as a DE on the roster but as a DT in his Bio. And they omit bios for Luc, McCallister, and a few others while profiling guys who will never play a meaningful snap like Cam Wade. It appears that they are listing accurate heights now as well. Don't think we will see any more "Everette Brown 6'4" " type listings.

Then why not Bradham?

im sorry, but i just dont think kendall smith is mlb material, i’ve always had the feeling that your mike is your leader, and playmaker, and Smith isn’t either of those things- he rarely makes plays, he always seems lost in that defense, he just isn’t a playmaker on that defense….most good defenses have a beast at mlb, and until we find one we wont be that good in my opinion…
also i wanna see more nigel carr on the field..
None of the LB positions are settled except to say Bradham will start and Luc/Williams are too rigid to play outside.
sorry to be pronunciation police but...
its definitely 100% pronounced luck
love the site guys, keep up the great work
It's French
It’s of Haitian decent. In French “Luc” is pronounced like Luke (i.e. Jean-Luc). That said I can’t remember where but I saw either a print of video interview where he doesn’t care how you pronounce it.

Hopefully
I hope his play determines how fast we and the tv announcers learn to pronounce his name.

Luc said himself in an interview last year it is officially Luke...
however added that everyone calls him luck and he doesn’t really care.
I tried to say it properly for a while, but after several strange looks, and stupid conversations, combined with the staff calling him Luck I have now caved in as well.
Yeah, right!
I've always heard Luc, in interviews (including Jimbo) and other FSU podcasts and whatnot.

Yep, Haitian languages are inherited from the French colonial period so it would be properly pronounced “Luke” in either one of the Haitian official languages. He doesn’t care so I’m sure we’ll hear both for four years
Either way is good
People close to Jeff call him Luke, but the luck pronunciation has been around awhile. Haitian which is French based has it down as Luke. Articles like this don’t help with the luck pronunciation.

Striker: "Surely you can't be serious!" Rumack: "I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
Go with Luke...
The French would make sense to call him Luke plus when he makes a tackle everyone can yell “Luuuuuuuuuke”.

How about before a big play
The stadium just yells, “Use the Force, Luc!”
AWESOME......

I guess I should have read on, pretty much what I said.
I flip back an forth on what I call him but it’s mostly “Luke”.

He will be on the field
The only thing is it is nice to be on the field for only one purpose. Look how Mr. Alex did when he was going after the QB… Lots more responsibility being MLB than situational.
White 262, Jenkins 234
I hope White gets to at least 270 by September. Jenkins… wow.
Speak softly, and carry a big Spear
That grapic makes it look like Jimbo's doing a magic trick.
Either that or he’s spreading pixie dust on the defense so that Greg Reid can actually fly over the defenders instead of around them.
looking closely
Luc’s bio is there – the early enrollees bios are in the signing class bios.
Dawkins is listed in three spots, as mentioned as a DE in the roster, DT in the bios – but overlooked is his mention as a DT in the position overview. McAllister is mentioned in the positions overview as “having the flexibility to play inside or outside”, making it sound like he might find himself playing DE or DT this fall, depending on how the spring shapes out and possibly on who is ready this fall among the incoming freshmen.
If the weight’s are right, it is nice to see that Datko is up over 300 lbs. With his 6-6 frame, if he is indeed 303 now and it is a lean built 303, he could end up, in another few months of the new regime’s program, at a good 315 this fall.
Last initial thought on this: I wouldn’t put too much weight on the positions listed. 3/4 of the defensive staff is new. Last similar turnover (in 2007 – 80% offensive staff turnover) saw the ’06 starting center playing as the third team TE in ’07 as one change, replaced by a redshirt freshman defensive tackle. McAllister and Dawkins could well end up at DE, some linebackers at DE, safety to linebacker, WRs to DB, etc. New staff, new training regime – those physical changes in the players due to the changes in training and nutrition as well as new eyes on the players seeing potentials for other positions not seen by the prior staff could see a lot of shuffling this spring, and this summer as the staff reviews film of the spring.

Trickett coaching legit
300lbs athletes gives me warm fuzzies….
As far as LB’s moving to DE’s, (even if if he is a lock there) Bradham off the edge at 260lbs would also be a sight.
I am very intrigued by the position battles at LB and S this spring.

#'s - G5 with over a 1000 total yards
Wonder if CP7 will top the 500 yard passing mark in a game. 400 for sure.
"Don't think we will see any more "Everette Brown 6'4" " type listings."
They probably have changed it, but the policy used to be the SID would contact each player and ask them how tall they were, how much they weighed…
IF they actually ASK and don't just make it up....
I was listed as 6’4"/250 following my Freshman year in J.C. Since I was running 4.7 & made 2nd-team All Conference…….I started getting A LOT of mail (even got a letter from Notre Dame, LOL)
In reality, I was 6’3"/230……kinda disappointing to scouts when they showed up—especially Kansas.
