Singleton was the leading vote-getter on the league's all-defensive team after leading the league in steals at 2.3 per game. He also averaged 1.5 blocks per game.

Another interesting stat

3.1 TO / Game. Ouch. He cuts that in half and you’re looking at next year’s ACCPOY.

I think he would need to push his free throw shooting past 60 percent

to even be in the POY discussion.

He leaves too many points on the table otherwise.

Singleton First Alabi Second

If we shoot it well in the tourney. we’re going to be a tough out.

wow. top two vote-getters. #1 Defense in the land by KenPom yardstick.

This is one lockdown defense, I tell ya.

Didn't Tony D. win that last year?

Question for the group...

Does ANYONE here feel that Singleton was deserving of s spot on 1st team All-ACC?

I, for one, don’t feel like he did. If I were coaching, I’d take the 5 that made the team over Singleton if going to battle against the 1st team big-East squad.

I definite do not think he was worthy of first team All-ACC.

Ricobert...thanks for posting this. Been a tad busy.

But…huge ACC Tournament Preview will be up tomorrow AM. Keep an eye out for it.

Congrats to Chris. He really played outstanding defense and is deserving of this award. If he can’t limit his turnovers, watch out. I suspect he won’t be departing for the NBA this year.

Credit to Coach Ham for having the #1 and 2 vote getters. Alabi was on the all defensive team last year as well.

Kudos should be made out to Michael Snaer who made the all rookie team.
