I like it...
Man am I ready for FOOTBALL SEASON!
He can make all the throws
However I would not call his arm strength elite although not many have elite arm strength.

What is the dividing line between great and elite?
Sheriff Branford: The fact that you are a sheriff is not germane to the situation.
Buford T. Justice: The god damn Germans got nothin' to do with it!
That is Heisman Talent shining through....
Our chances for greatness this season ride on his arm.
I know he CAN do it. And I think he is going to do it.
If asked to hold his hand out after that throw it would be more steady than Mr. Norris himself.
"alot of people dont realize that FSU is about to TAKE OFF" - Telvin Smith
I disagree
that FSU’s greatness rides on Ponder’s arm. Ponder’s arm will be good enough (barring anymore Clemson type performances), but our success will be because of less drops from the receivers, getting blocks and good runs out of the backs and a greatly improved defense.
I remember that play
my favorite non counting play of the season. Saw it live, fortson caught it right in front of me.
I don't remember it at all.
Only a few plays I remember and none of them were good. Hell of a play.
MiNDSET? SWAG-ER-ISM!!!

"Wherever you are, Trick, you are wise, indeed."
I remember it
And I was furious that we’d held. Argh.
ugh..
don’t have to convince me but wasn’t this one called back because of holding? My god wake me from this nightmare. WAKE UUUUUUUUUUP!!!!!!!
Not an alcoholic, just an FSU grad.
Yes it was

Worse yet - didn't we fumble a couple plays later on a sack?
Could be wrong – thought we turned it over right after this though.
Incredible pass/catch.

That is what?
A 50+ yard throw rolling to his left. Pretty damn impressive. Also, how can you not like the white on white unis. Those things are beautiful.
I might hate USF more than Florida
I want a rematch so mad, the clowns down “south” think there’s a “Big 4” now
I hope we drop that game
completely unnecessary chance to lose. Need to focus on our conference and our rivals.

Thank you.
I can’t stand when people say he has a weak arm. It’s not a Chad Pennington arm. It’s not Ryan Mallet or Jamarcus Russell, but he has plenty more than enough.
El Venao!
Look where Jamarcus Russell's arm strength got him.
I’d take Pennington’s completion percentage over Russell’s arm any day of the week. As it is, there’s no need to make that compromise with Ponder.
This is where buffoons like Mel Kiper get themselves into trouble.

Russell was pretty darn accurate in college as well
Lazy, rich, and NFL coaches don’t babysit
365 days, until I change my ways.
Speaking of which...
reports are that Russell is a measly 300+ lbs now. Someone tell him not to eat the clipboard while Campbell is on the field.
Bring back Jeff Bowden...as a pińata.

Clipboard?
Russell will only be at the game if he pays for a ticket – no way do the Raiders not release him. I think he’s due 9.5 million or something this year?
I’ll be he’ll be at home eating wings, chips and everything else during the games.
Russell is reportedly in the best sahpe of his life...
per the Raider fans board…. and humble. They still cut his ass though,……

maybe they can convert him to tackle
he’s got enough bulk
Knew he was going to struggle when I heard he was a training camp holdout his 1st year.
I think he held out until just before the season started or maybe even after the 1st game.
IMO, deep holdouts like that are way more likely to bust than those that get their contract done early.

Looks like he threw it from the 35 or 40.
On the run and off-balance, between the numbers — yeah, I’d say that’s an impressive show of arm strength and accuracy.
Guess again
He threw it from just inside the 50. That ball traveled about 55 yards in the air.

How bad are freaking college football announcers!!!!
Those guys didn’t even comment on that amazing throw. It’s crazy how bad some of these guys are. They didn’t notice how incredible that throw was.
Team Gold
Well it was on ESPNU
That could have been the worst group ESPN has.

Wow!
What an amazing dude! Smart, great role model, great QB. And for those people who go on about how great a guy Tebow is, Ponder is just as good a guy. Only reason why nobody (outside FSU fans) talks about Ponder is cuz he doesn ’t throw his religion at people or right Bible verses on his eye black. Interesting how the NCAA is banning eye black messages right when Tebow leaves…suspicious? I think so.

A bit off topic but I’ll say it anyway. I love that Fisher isn’t tolerating any on/off field shenanigans. We’re actually shaking off the “Criminole” persona and handing it over to University of Felons. Interesting fact too, Florida has had more arrests in Urb’s tenure, than UM or FSU. I believe more than both of them combined, but I couldn’t find the number of arrests for both teams since 2005.
Guy from SI has Ponder going #28 in his mock draft

I'm praying for that Scenario as a Vikings Fan....
I am so glad we passed on all the big names this draft. I know we picked up Perriloux but Ponder is going to be the man in MN (hopefully)

Yeah that was a terrible mock, even for early ones
>>>-----------;;;-->CP7 for Heisman>>>-----------;;;-->
What could of been...
If changes were made sooner to our program, I really feel as though CP would be leaving here in the top 2 in terms of production and accomplishments. With that said, imo, he is one of the best Qbs ever to don the G&G.
