This says that

OU is a touchdown better on a neutral field
Florida is 10 points better on a netutral field
Miami is slightly better
UNC is a field goal better on a neutral field

Think that’s about it so far.

WERLV.COM

is the site. It’s ESPN radio 1100 Las Vegas.
Facebook and Twitter are blocked here at work, but it should be somewhere on the site or one of the other pages. If you can figure it out, please post…..

Does the 7 point spread for BYU

suprise anyone else?
Only ~4 point favorites at neutral field?

by BenDNole on Jun 11, 2010 4:42 PM EDT reply actions

Probably 3 in that case

Yes, is shocks me and I’ll play heavily ON FSU if that line holds.

by Bud Elliott on Jun 11, 2010 4:45 PM EDT up reply actions

Plus BYU is the week after Oklahoma.

It will be interesting to see the Las Vegas Hilton lines when they drop. I’ll send along when they do.

by vegasnole on Jun 11, 2010 4:46 PM EDT up reply actions

If this doesn't take this tread too far off topic...

What does a win at Oklahoma do for our season when we are predicted to get beat by most everyone?

Not being a homer or saying it will happen for sure but of all the games it seems to be the one that I could see us pulling an upset with all things taken into effect.

by RunninNole5 on Jun 11, 2010 6:40 PM EDT reply actions

The predictions and lines would change if we beat OU.

They’ll change anyway but I think a win at OU will make us favs in most of our remaining games.

I've asked this before

and it doesn’t seem that there is a definite number that it will change.
You’ll have to factor in what happens to UF, UNC, BC, Miami in the opening weeks.

FSU -7 vs. BYU.
Boise -2.5 vs. VaTech
Alabama -9.5 vs. Penn St.
Alabama -3 vs. Florida

I like these initially. I don’t believe PSU scores against Alabama; Florida is an unknown; Boise State should be demolished by VaTech; FSU should out-talent BYU.

Art Modell gives me a hard one

by gahnki on Jun 11, 2010 8:59 PM EDT reply actions

I agree on all but the Va Tech game. VT is overrated and small IMO

UCLA -6 @ ksu
AZ +2.5 v. Iowa
also like UGA -7 hosting Tennessee
USCe +2.5 hosting Arky

Like those too

by Bud Elliott on Jun 11, 2010 9:10 PM EDT up reply actions

Good find on UGA -7 vs. UT.

Ohio State -14 to Minnesota (3 year mean score: OSU: 34, Minn: 11.6.) Tim Brewster has amassed a surprising amount of talent but he’s a recruiting coordinator playing at head coach. Minnesota hasn’t been closer than 14 to Ohio State since 2001. I think at worst you’re looking at a push here.

A&M + 7 from Arkansas. Looks and smells like a shootout- I’ll take the points.

UCLA + 6 from Cal.

Gut Feeling Pick- Purdue getting 9 from ND. I think BK will do a great job at ND but I’m feeling an upset here.

WHY wouldn't psu score against Bama?

Bama loses 9 starters on defense
It’s ignorant to think they don’t get scored on

Coincidentally, I drove up to Las Vegas last weekend with my daughter.

LV hates people like us— we don’t gamble :)

Just drove up to see LOVE (her idea), to see the Hoover Dam and let the A8 stretch its legs (my idea :) ).

Vegas loves people like you!! Not as much as the California bottle service crowd, but… You came to town and saw a show, made a touristy stop, probably bought gas and ate at some point. They don’t rely on gambling as much as they used to.

Saw LOVE Saturday night. Had a crazy weekend in Vegas to celebrate the fact that my friend broke off his engagement. He was supposed to get married last Sunday but they broke it off in February so we decided to take him out to celebrate.

Georgia -7 vs. Tenn

Nice call by everyone who mentioned this game. It is now up to Ga -10. Apparently pro gambler “Fezzik” is the one who has been moving all these lines early. His Four biggest bets (multiple bets on to limit) were GA -7 vs. Tenn (now -10), Oregon -3 @ Tenn (now -6.5), TXA&M +2 @ OkSt (now A&M -2), and S.Carolina -4 vs. Tenn (Now -7).

LAS VEGAS – The Golden Nugget Las Vegas was the first casino and sports book in the world to announce its 2010 College Football Games of the Year, June 11. The property released lines on 200 college games starting with games on Sept.2 through the last game on Dec. 11.

"We’re very excited to be the first casino to get these games announced to the public," said Tony Miller, director of Golden Nugget race & sports book. "Releasing the lines this early gives sports fans their first look at what the picks will be, as well as an opportunity to bet early on them."

Professional sports bettor and Two-Time defending Hilton Champion, Fezzik posted that he "smacked in twelve anti-Tennessee Vols bets". He shared three of those bets as he played SEC rivals Georgia -7, Florida -8 and Alabama -8.5 against the Volunteers.

Handicapper Bryan Leonard posted his experience was positive. "I was there for the college games of the year today. Other than a one hour delay everything went off without a hitch."

They have huge leather recliners with FREE drinks (you call it – Goose, Hennessey, Bombay, Heineken, Becks, Guiness, etc), but not many seats…
And don’t forget FSU baseball. That will be on also, I’ll check the line when I go to lunch.

dude gets a lot of attention out here..

because he’s won the Hilton Super Contest two years running (His second entry also finished in the top 5), and he also won the Money Talks ncaa/nfl contest last year. in ‘07 he won the money talks contest hitting 70%, and came in 2nd in ’06. Not sure about any plays he sells, but as far as the contests he enters himself and the breakdowns he gives out on the radio the guy is an ace. i’ve also had several conversations with him over the years and he’s someone you’d want to sit next to on a cross-continental flight.

Some lines should be bigger and some should not IMO. this is conservative on both sides of each game and shows that they will wait and see.

What was your weekend like? Still recovering?

by vegasnole on Jun 21, 2010 1:38 PM EDT reply actions

Just got home about an hour ago

It was pretty out of control to say least, was very disappointed that the wedding chapels are not 24 hours as a group of us drove around in 3 taxis for over an hour and were shot down at 4 different chapels. The casinos were very good to me although I might need your help as I some how managed to come home with $100 in chips from ‘Old Vegas’. Getting home was like something from a scene of “Planes, Trains and Automobiles”, canceled flights, delayed takeoffs, wrong airports and to top it all off the cab that was taking us home from Orlando to Tampa drove away while we were getting drinks at the gas station. 14+ hours later I arrive home to a 85 degree apartment and a broken AC. Needless to say I am ready for this day to be over.
