PrintThis is it. At 4:30 today, Florida State takes on Florida in the college world series. Both teams were demolished in their respective opening round games. The winner stays and the loser will go home. Florida has been the better team all year, but there may be hope for the 'Noles in that FSU did take 3 of 4 this year. Note, however, that those were midweek games and there is always question as to how much teams play to win midweek games, even against a rival, due to the possibility of messing up the weekend rotation.
Nobody will hold anything back today. FSU will hit Sean Gilmartin, its starter from the last game. Expect the bullpens to be active early if needed. UF is favored here -144/ +128, so if FSU wins it will be an upset. Nole fans need to root for coach Martin to make good decisions like he did in the last game (even though FSU lost that game). This team is not likely to beat both its own coaching and the Gators. Hopefully Martin's post-season so far is a hint of how he will manage today.

Busch's numbers are actually pretty good.
He has a .230 baa and a 1.24 whip. Seems like his nearly 4 era is due to some bad luck. Busch has been light out against UF. 7 innings 10 k 3 hits

I can see it now..
Lebben makes his glorious return to the Championship Game, where he faces a red hot TCU team, with Matt Purke on the mound. Lebben eliminates the youngsters pitching advantage by using maturity, poise and the unstoppable power of hand claps (and fist pumps) to keep him on edge. He then has the entire team attempt to bunt on in every at bat, with the exception of Tapley (in the 9 hole), who he tells to swing away! FSU goes on to win the game 11-0 (of COURSE! You can’t WRITE stories like this!!) and he retires having finally tasted sweet glory!

watched the game at a casino
there were about 10 people there all routing for Florida, not gatortard fans, but just bet on them but I’d say I was the only one in the place who bet FSU. when FSU did good, I clapped and no one else did.
I did hear a lot of moaning at other times. Serves them right for making a dumbass bet. I thought the line should be pickem. I’d say I enjoyed the game a lot more than the other people.

Not sure it makes a difference, TCU or UCLA. TCU may be easier for us just since we’ve seen them before, of course, they can say the same.
