I was in Con Law II class during the goal.
A bunch of us left class to watch the end of the game (last 15 minutes or so) in the student lounge. Apparently, the class still erupted when we scored. I wish there was a camera in the classroom recording it to add to the video.
Nice!
The two individual reactions in this video are priceless
We were all created to be Seminoles. This is why we bleed garnet and piss gold.

Agreed. That guy sliding down the stairs was funny as hell.

Also, I don't think this country has been so engaged in a single sports team since the Miracle on Ice

I was on I-10 going to work
Listening on ESPN Radio (Droid user). I went nuts, yelling and laying on the horn, I almost caused several accidents.
But it was worth it.

FACT
The US Stock Market had 30% less activity for the final 20 min of the match. That’s a lot of business not being done!

@ Bdubs in Tally when it happened
I was the only person watching the lone TV that had the feed 5 seconds before the rest of the TVs… people stared at me when I went wild until the rest of the bar caught up.
It was amazing.
My colleague, who knows a lot more about soccer than I do, kept telling me, “Nah, not gonna happen. The soccer gods hate us today.” That was at about the 80’ mark. Told him to be patient, Donovan would save the day.
I was with your colleague
Dempsey looked like our best chance to score and he did everything but actually find the back of the net. And when he actually did, the refs made a bad call (even though I also thought he was offside when watching it live). He was unlucky all game but was still the best player on the field by far. Luckily, the ball happened to fall right to Donovan at the right time.

I was with him, too, really.
But I wasn’t giving up until they blew the whistle. Team USA is quite exciting that way. If they could play hard for a full 90’, there’s no telling how far they could go.

I don't think the problem against Algeria was playing hard, we just didn't catch any breaks.
Dempsey has a goal disallowed. Jozy and Landon get in each other’s way and put an easy rebound over the bar. Dempsey hits the post and is misses the putback. We just finally caught a break when the ball fee to Donovan, it just took 91 minutes to do so.

Agreed in Algeria's case.
But I think they tend to look awful in first halves. (Example: Yesterday. It was a completely different team after HT. They ran out of gas in extra time though.) The score was pretty misleading in the Algeria game. Not to say Algeria isn’t a respectable team, but it shouldn’t have been close.

We looked awful in the first half because the wrong players were on the field
The score was misleading against Algeria because we couldn’t catch any breaks. If 1 or 2 of our other opportunities are converted, then we win much more easily.
It was tactical decisions and being a little bit unlucky that made the differences, not the team’s effort.
