I am sure that Jayce is a hard working team oriented player.
I will move on to his batting prowess. Jayce is near the bottom in OPS as wells as RBI per plate appearance for any player that has seen meaningful time. I am sure that FSU can recruit an overweight JUCO guy to field the ball below average and hit "soft". As a division one player he should contribute more than the occasional late game hit.
Of Boyd's HR's I cannot remember too many that made any difference in the outcome of the game. Which leads to my next bone of contention, do you really want a non factor taking the 1B spot? Most first baseman are difference makers at the plate...
I am not saying that I root against the kid, nor am I against FSU (I am as for FSU as anyone). I would just like to see some better talent being hyped up.
