Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like FSU is quickly becoming downright fashionable. And I'm not talking about the beautiful color scheme and uniform design. It's not something tangible, really, just a sense that a lot of these kids are perking up at the opportunity to be a part of the new era of Noles football.
You could see it on Wilder's face when he announced. He was proud to put on that hat. I'm sure I'm just seeing the world through garnet and gold lenses, but last year, when all the kids announced for UF at the All American games and what not, they reeked of arrogance (granted, the gator chomp can make anyone look like a giant douche). Like they were letting the world know they'd been invited to sit at the cool kids' lunch table for the next four years.
But with FSU, the vibe is different. It's like Fisher et al have given these kids a sense of purpose and belonging, like they're going to be a part of something great. And the vibe seems to be catching on, not just with recruits, but with media as well.
I foresee FSU being increasingly fashionable this season. Lots of bandwagon fans, lots of recruits expressing interest in committing (even if only to drop the name). Everybody but Herbstreit will rooting for us by early October.
